The Captain and The FBI Agent - Part 3
Pairing: Olivia Benson x Reader
Summary: Your FBI partner shows up while your memories start coming back.
Warnings: Mentions of rape, mentions of drugging
Words: 3.7K
When she gets in the precinct she sees a guy wearing an FBI badge and a gun. She then sees that heâs talking loudly to Amanda and Carisi.
âWhatâs going on in here?â Olivia asks.
âSheâs our Captain.â Carisi tells him and he turns to her.
âCaptain Benson, whatever you think happened, Y/n had nothing to do with it.â He pleas and she furrows her eyebrows.
âAnd who are you?â She asks him.
âJake Melvin, Y/nâs partner.â He tells her.Â
âLetâs talk in my office.â She tells him.
âOf course, anything to help Y/n.â He says and then follows her to her office. He sits down in one of the chairs across from hers as she closes the door and then sits down. He takes notice of you in the interrogation room and sees your sunglasses. âWhy is she wearing sunglasses?â
âLight is making her headache worse.â Is all she says. âHow well do you know her, Agent Melvin?â
âSheâs been my partner for 8 years, I think I know her almost as much as her sister does.â He tells her. âHer sister can tell you exactly what I am, that whatever is going on, sheâs innocent.â
âHow did you hear that we have her?â
âMy captain said she called, saying SVU is taking her to their station.â He says.
âWe havenât made an official arrest with her, but itâs also not looking good for her. And thatâs all I can tell you for right now.â She explains. âThereâs also something that doesnât feel right, and I want to know more about her.â
âWhatever you want to know, Iâll answer.âÂ
âHow many drinks does she usually have at a bar?â
âIf she has an alcoholic drink then no more than one.â He confirms and Olivia nods and leans back in her seat.
âWhat about partners or girls that she brings home? Is it a regular thing?â She then asks.
âShe rarely brings a girl home, she rarely meets girls. She is more of a married to the job type. If she does meet a girl then she likes to meet them a few times before she even thinks about inviting them to her place for dinner.â He tells her.Â
Before he can say anything else, thereâs a knock at the door. Olivia holds up her index finger to Jake before she gets up and opens the door. At the door is Fin and has his phone in hand.

Mine - Part 62
Pairing: Melissa Schemmenti x Reader
Summary: The Schemmenti's in the month of August!
Warning: Mentions of smut
Words: 9.7K
You knock on Ameliaâs door and she looks up at you. You walk in with the envelope you got a few days ago and sit on her bed. Amelia puts the book down that she was reading and sits up as you hand her the envelope.Â
âI got you something to give to Mamma tomorrow for her birthday.â You tell her and she opens the envelope and gasps after a few seconds.
âReally?â Amelia asks and you nod. âDo you think sheâll like it?â
âI think sheâll love it, especially if she gets to do that with you.â You say and she hugs you.
âThank you, Mommy.âÂ
âNo problem, sweetheart.â You tell her and then you walk out after she hides the envelope.
The next morning, Melissa wakes up as sheâs been ambushed with kisses all over her face. She giggles as she sees itâs you kissing her. She then grabs your waist and pushes you down on her and you gasp.Â
âWhat a way to wake up.â She says.
âHappy birthday to you-â
âOh god.â She complains and you giggle. âPlease tell me youâre not gonna try to cook me something.âÂ
âAfter the Mammaâs Day disaster? Not a chance. Iâm not an idiot.â You say and she smiles. âBut I know the kids are excited to give you their hand made cards.â You add.Â
âAre they already up?â She asks and looks at the baby monitors on the dresser.
âNo. I thought we might have an hour to ourselves before they wake up.â You tell her and she raises an eyebrow.
âAnd what exactly are we going to do in that hour?â She asks.
âWhatever you want, birthday girl.âÂ
âHm, well how about we start with your head between my legs and then end up with me pinning you to the shower wall.â She says.
âI like that idea.â
An hour later you both finish getting dressed and see all the kids are still asleep. Melissa looks at her phone and sees itâs 6:30. The sun is up but all of them are still passed out.
âHow they can sleep with the sun in their face, I will never understand.â She mutters out.
âThey must have been really tired. They were spending most of the afternoon and evening playing outside with their toys.âÂ
âI guess. I suppose we should go wake up the little critters.âÂ
âI got it!â You both hear and turn to see Amelia there.
âHow long have you been standing there?â Melissa asks.
âAbout a minute.â Amelia says before she goes running down the hall, banging on the bedroom doors of her siblings. âEveryone up! Itâs Mammaâs birthday!â She shouts and Melissa facepalms.
âI guess thatâs one way to do it.â You say while laughing.Â
All the kids come out of their bedroom and run into your bedroom and ambush Melissa in a big group hug. All 5 of them were jumping and shouting âhappy birthdayâ all at the same time to her. You take your phone out and record the entire thing instead of helping Melissa.
âThank you my bambini. How about we go downstairs?â She suggests and they all hold on to her and drag her towards the stairs. You end the recording and send it to the Abbott group chat before you follow them.
You all make it downstairs and all the kids hold out their cards for her to take, all except Amelia. You sit down on the loveseat as they all dragged her to the couch. Melissa takes their cards and then looks at them all one by one.Â
âOh Caty, this is such a great family picture, and you even included the Cheekâs family.â Melissa says and Caty nods. âI love what you all drew for me.â She tells them all. The two sets of twins then calm down and you look at Amelia. Amelia looks at you and then she takes a deep breath before walking forward.
âThis-um- this is for you, Mamma.â Amelia says and hands the card and envelope to Melissa. Melissa looks to see Amelia fidgeting and not making a lot of eye contact. Melissa opens the card and smiles.Â
âHappy birthday, Mamma. Love Amelia.â Melissa reads with a smile. Melissa then opens the envelope and pulls out the gifts. You all watch as she reads it for a second and then gasps. âYou got me 2 Eagles tickets!â She exclaims and Amelia nods.Â
âI was hoping we could go together, if-if thatâs ok.â Amelia says and Melissa puts a hand over her heart before pulling Amelia into a hug.Â
âI would love to go with you.â Melissa tells her. While hugging her, Melissa glances at you and sees youâre recording it with a smile. She pulls back from the hug and looks at all of her kids. âThank you so much for all these wonderful cards, I feel like the most loved Mamma in the world.â She says to all of them. âNow how about you all help me make breakfast?â She announces and they all get excited and run to the kitchen. She looks at you and tells you to sit beside her, so you do.Â
âYou are definitely very loved by all of them.â You tell her and she smiles.
âI really am. I also wanted to thank you for the Eagles tickets that you gave Amelia.â She says.
âIt was nothing.â You say.
âHow did you get such great seats? I didnât see a chunk taken from our savings.âÂ
âI know a guy.â You tell her and she raises an eyebrow. âOr at least, you know a guy.â You add and she laughs.Â
âIâve got such an amazing wife.â She says and then places a kiss on your cheek.
âMamma, I thought we were making breakfast!â She hears Nico yell.
âGo on, our herd of little Schemmentiâs are really excited to cook with you.â You say and she places another kiss on your lips.
âThank you for giving me this memory with Amelia. I honestly canât wait to go with her.â She tells you before she goes to the kitchen.Â
30 minutes later and thereâs eggs sandwiches being placed on the table. You see that thereâs a poached egg, bacon and dairy free cheese in them.
âWe all helped Mamma with breakfast.â Caty says and you smile.
âThey did, I had 5 amazing little helpers.â Melissa says.Â
âThatâs amazing.â You say and then look at Melissa. âSo I was thinking we could go wherever you want and then to a diner for dinner.â You tell her and Melissa smiles and nods.Â
âSounds like a plan.âÂ
âWhere are we gonna go, Mamma?â Amelia asks and then all the kids are asking her the same question at the same time.Â
âMmm, maybe we could go to the Franklin Institute.â She suggests and you raise your eyebrow.
âThatâs definitely an interesting choice.â You tell her.
âWhatâs the Franklin Institute?â Nico asks, mouth full of food.
âItâs a big science museum.â Melissa explains. âAnd also donât talk with your mouth full, Ometto.âÂ
âSorry, Mamma.â He says after swallowing.
2 hours later, everyone is piling into the car and you and Melissa are doing up car seats. Then you both get in the front seats and Melissa looks in the mirror.
âOk. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 kids. We got them all.â Melissa says and then turns on the car.Â
You get there and Melissa goes up to the front desk person to pay while you keep the kids from running away.Â
â5 kids and 2 adults please.â Melissa says and then takes her card out.
âAre they all yours?â The woman asks and Melissa nods. â5 kids is a lot.âÂ
âYa, they usually make it feel like thereâs more.â Melissa jokes as she pays. She pays and then goes back to her family. âAlright, bambini, letâs go.â She announces.
When they walk through to the big exhibit room, all their eyes go wide. Nico, Caty and Amelia run to one place and Nico pushes all the buttons he can see to watch what they do. Caty is listening to Amelia read the information while the toddlers are touching everything in sight.
âThis is so cool!â Nico exclaims as he continues pushing all the buttons. You then look to see the toddlers are looking at the giant heart and then they start running towards it.
âUh oh.â You say and Melissa looks at your line of sight.Â
Melissa immediately runs after them but they get inside before she catches them. You then see Melissa looking at the heart and taking a deep breath before she goes in. She doesnât want to go in there but knows they wonât come out unless she goes in after them.Â
âMamma look!â Mia exclaims.
âIt feels so weird, Mamma!â Bella exclaims.
You just chuckle as the toddlers are gonna be in there for at least 5 minutes before Melissa can get them out of there. You look back and see Nico is touching everything and pushing all the buttons while Caty is silently looking. Amelia is doing two things, reading about it and then pushing the buttons.
You happen to glance at the heart and see 2 little ginger toddlers running out and Melissa running after them. You laugh as Melissa slows down when theyâre in your range and you see her catching her breath. The toddlers end up joining Nico as heâs the one making stuff happen with the buttons. They see him pushing a button and then a noise or a light happens. They put it together and then they start pushing the buttons as well.
âIâm starting to regret this idea.â Melissa tells you.Â
âI think this was a great idea, theyâre having fun.â You tell her. âWhy donât you go spend time with them and Iâll stay here in case anyone decides to take flight.â You suggest. She nods before she places a kiss on your cheek and then walks towards her kids.Â
âMamma, check this out!â Caty exclaims.
âMamma, look what happens when I push this!â Nico yells excitedly. You see Amelia finishes looking at everything and then she walks over towards you.
âNot having fun?â You ask her.
âI am, I already looked at everything and pushed all the buttons.â She tells you.Â
âWhat are you nervous about?â You ask her.
âThe dance camp.â
âWhy? Youâve been nothing but excited about it since we signed you up a month ago.âÂ
âI am excited but Iâll be away from everyone for a week.â She explains and you nod.Â
âThatâs understandable. But youâll have so much fun and make so many new friends. By the time the week is done then you wonât want to come back when we pick you up.â You tell her. âAnd if you miss us then give us a call when you can. And donât forget that weâll be there at the end of the week to watch the dance routine.âÂ
âI know all of that but the longest Iâve been away from you both is a night. This will be 6 nights.âÂ
âI know, and weâre all going to miss you too. I might have to stop Mamma from driving there and dragging you home before the week is up.â You say and she laughs.
âThat does sound like something she would do.â Amelia says with a smile.Â
âIt is something that Iâm sure sheâs already thinking about doing and you havenât left yet.â You tell her. âJust enjoy the family time today and tomorrow morning when we get to dance camp, youâll see how fun itâll be.â You add and give her a side hug.
âThanks mommy.â She tells you as she hugs you back.Â
You all walk to another exhibit and all the kids run away to go look. You see Nico going to push all the buttons again to see what they do. Caty is looking carefully and Amelia is reading the information as itâs above Catyâs reading level. You take a quick selfie with Melissa before she goes to spend more time with the kids. Like before, you stay behind in case anyone tries to make a run for it. You doubt they will as theyâre too interested in everything to look at and touch but you donât want to take any chances.
3 hours later, the toddlers are cuddled up into your lap as you sit on a bench. It seems they ran their little hearts out until they ran out of energy. Melissa sees them sleeping on you and turns to her other kids.
âAlright you three, we should go as the toddlers need their nap.â She tells them and they all turn to see them sleeping on you.Â
When you get home, you both bring the toddlers upstairs while Amelia opens the backyard door for Elena. You tuck them in and then you both go downstairs to see the other 3 talking about the institute.Â
âIâll go make lunch, how about you go watch something with them.â Melissa suggests and you nod before you go to the living room.Â
Melissa ends up making grilled cheese for lunch. Sheâs gotten better with dealing with fake cheese, and knows she should put it in the microwave for about 10 seconds before cooking it so the cheese melts like it should. When lunch is almost done, you go upstairs to wake the toddlers and come downstairs with them. You all end up continuing to watch the movie while all eating your grilled cheese. Nico, to no oneâs surprise, grabs a second one right after finishing his first and is only able to eat half of the second one. Caty takes the second half of it and eats it as she only has room for half of another one.
âSo which diner should we go to for dinner?â Melissa asks you.Â
âWell itâs your birthday so you get the final vote, but I was thinking of the diner where they sell vegan milkshakes.â You tell her.
âThe one thatâs a 5 minute drive?â She asks and you nod. âI like that diner, and itâs a good idea to go to one that gives dairy free options. Never want Caty to feel left out.â She says and you nod.Â
âYou know, Amelia is nervous about being away from us when she goes to camp. Maybe you can talk to her tonight. Reassure her, and maybe promise you wonât drag her home against her will.â You say and she nods.
âIâm not gonna drive there before camp is over.â She says very unconvincingly.
After lunch and the movie, you all go outside in the backyard and Melissa is playing soccer with the toddlers while youâre playing catch with the oldest kids. You see Melissa running around and wonder if sheâll fall asleep before the kids tonight.Â
After an hour it was getting too hot to stay outside so you decide to go in before anyone passes out. Inside you and Melissa bring juice and cups over and everyone has a glass.
âTesoro, are you done packing everything?â Melissa asks and Amelia nods.Â
âWhat are we gonna do before dinner?â Caty asks.Â
âHow about we play a board game?â You suggest and everyone quickly agrees. âMia, want to be on my team?â You ask as sheâs right beside you and she nods.Â
âStellina, want to be on Mammaâs team?â Melissa asks and Bella nods excitedly. While you all play, you end up sitting on the floor with Amelia while Mia is sitting in your lap and Bella is sitting on Melissaâs lap.Â
4 hours later youâre pulling up at the diner and you get all the kids out before going inside. Thereâs a few people eating inside and a couple in line waiting to be seated. The couple gets seated and then the person asks you how much.Â
â7 people.â Melissa says.Â
âOk, follow me please.â The lady says. You and Melissa pick up a toddler each before you all follow the lady. She brings you to a circular booth and the older kids get in first. You and Melissa then get in and place the toddler you were carrying, beside you. âAlright, hereâs your menus and someone should be along to take your order shortly.â
âThank you.â You tell her and then she leaves.
âOk, letâs see what they have for you kids.â Melissa says as she grabs one of the menus.Â
âOh, they have chocolate chip pancakes.â Amelia reads and Nico looks at her.
âThey do?â He asks and she nods.
âYa, it says it right here.â Amelia says.
âI canât read yet.â He tells her.
âSheâs right, they have them.â You confirm.
âThatâs what I want.â He then says.
âAlright, thatâs one kid down.â Melissa tells the table. âWhat does everyone feel like having? Thereâs pancakes, burgers, chicken fingers, waffles, eggs and sausage, French toast, grilled cheese, soups.â Melissa reads. You see thereâs a lot more but she was mostly saying ones that they would choose.Â
âChicken fingers.â Bella says.Â
âOk, thatâs 2.â You say. âCaty and Mia, what do you want?âÂ
âAre there any burgers without cheese?â Caty asks and you go over the list of burgers.Â
âYep. They have a BLT. Bacon, lettuce and tomato.â You tell her.
âI like that, I want that.â She says.Â
âWhat about you Mia?â Melissa asks her as Mia is right beside her.
âFrench toast.â Mia says and you nod.Â
âHello, my name is Mira and Iâll be your waiter today.â Mira says as she comes with a tray of water. She places a cup of water in front of everyone and Amelia goes to drink hers right away. âCan I get you started on some drinks?âÂ
âYep, 5 chocolate milkshakes, one of them vegan, and 2 chocolate milks.â Melissa says and Mira writes it down.Â
âAlright, and do you know what you want to order?â Mira asks.
âAmelia, do you know?â You ask and Amelia nods. âYa, we know what we want.â You confirm. âChicken fingers and fries, one BLT, French toast and Iâll have a classic burger and fries.
âIâll have a chicken wrap.â Amelia says.
âAnd Iâll have a Philly cheesesteak.â Melissa tells her.
âAlright, Iâll be back with your drinks.â Mira finishes writing and then leaves.Â
âI canât believe youâre leaving tomorrow for camp.â Caty tells Amelia. âWho will I have to play with now?â
âWow, I donât feel sidelined at all.â You say.
âYou and Mamma are ok, but itâs more fun with Amelia.â Caty tells you and you raise your eyebrows.Â
âMore fun?â Melissa asks.Â
âYou donât understand how we like to play.â Amelia explains and Caty nods. âItâs only for a week, Caty. How about you make up a storyline and weâll do it when I get back?â Amelia suggests.
âOk! Iâll make up the best storyline.â Caty says with a smile.
âWhy are you leaving again? Last year you didnât leave for a week.â Nico asks.
âIt was a different camp, it was a day camp last year.â Amelia explains.Â
âAnd here are your drinks.â Mira says as she appears with a tray full of drinks. She places the tray down carefully and starts taking the drinks off. She takes the chocolate milk off first and Melissa takes them. Melissa takes two sippy cups out of her purse and opens them. She then begins pouring the chocolate milk into the sippy cups.
âYou brought Mia and Bellaâs sippy cups?â You ask and she nods.Â
âBetter safe than sorry.â Melissa says.
âWhoâs getting the dairy free chocolate milkshake?â Mira asks.
âMe.â Caty says and Mira hands it to her. Melissa is about to make sure but then sees a note on the tray where the dairy free one was, confirming which one it was. Mira then takes off the other milkshakes and passes them around.Â
âYour meals should be here in about 20 minutes.âÂ
âThank you, Mira.â You tell her and she nods before leaving.
âAlright, you two, now you canât spill your drinks this time.â Melissa says and then passes the sippy cups to Bella and Mia. You take a sip of your milkshake and see that Nico is practically chugging it.
âMight want to take your time, sweetheart. Might get a brain freeze or a major sugar rush.â You tell him and he stops.
âSorry.â He says.
âThis milkshake is really good for being dairy free.â Caty points out. âMamma, taste it.â She adds. Melissa leans forward and takes a sip of the milkshake.
âYouâre right, it tastes almost exactly like the ones with dairy.â Melissa agrees and then takes a sip of her own shake.
*15 minutes later.*
âMia.â You warn and she pulls her hand away again. She then reaches over slowly to try and touch your shake cup. This time sheâs looking directly at Melissa while doing it instead of you. âEven while looking at Mamma, I can still see you.â You tell her and she pulls back her hand again with a smirk.Â
Bella suddenly stands up in the booth and starts jumping at Melissa. Melissa puts her hand up to defend herself against toddler chaos. Melissa looks to see Nico is bouncing in his seat and Caty is talking quickly to Amelia whoâs giggling. She looks over to see Mia is trying to touch things on you now, at the moment itâs your necklace.Â
âMia, sit down.â You say.
âBella, stop jumping on me.â Melissa tells her. She then hears Nico is sipping the last drops of his shake and he looks like heâs about to burst from his seat. âOh no.â Melissa says as she realises they all reached a sugar high. Nico then goes underneath the table and crawls out. Melissa manages to get Bella to sit just as Nico starts running around. Melissa is immediately out of her seat and starts chasing him. âNico, get back here.âÂ
You see that Nico is running as fast as he can and Melissa canât keep up. Heâs making his way near the table so you quickly get up and manage to cut him off and grab him. Melissa catches up a second later and sheâs catching her breath. You look back at the table to see Bella is on her feet, jumping in place, while Mia is touching everything in sight. You look to see Caty is talking at a rapid pace to Amelia and Amelia is giggling at everything.Â
âWhat fresh hell did we cause?â Melissa asks.Â
âIt was your idea to get them all chocolate.â You remind her.
âYa, and I immediately regret it.â She tells you as you both get back to the booth with Nico.
âNow stay put.â You tell him.Â
You see him bouncing in his seat again and he starts tapping his hands on the table. You look to see Melissa placing her head on the table in defeat and Bella starts to slowly climb on her back.Â
âFood is here.â You hear and you all look to see Mira with a giant tray on wheels. âAlright, and hereâs the chicken wrap.â She says first and Amelia sits up straighter and smiles as she moves the shake over. Mira hands her the chicken wrap and Amelia smiles. âThe classic burger with fries.â She continues as she hands the plate to you. âBLT. French toast. Chicken fingers. Chocolate chip pancakes. And lastly, a Philly cheesesteak.â Mira finishes as she puts the last plate down in front of Melissa. âIs there anything else you need?â Mira asks.
âNo thank you, this is great.â You tell her.
âEnjoy your meal.â She says and then leaves.Â
All the kids have stopped trying to cause chaos as the food is distracting all of them. Melissa tears the chicken fingers into little pieces for Bella as you cut up the French toast for Mia. Nico grabs the syrup from the middle of the table and starts pouring it all over his pancakes. Caty grabs the ketchup and carefully pours some next to her fries, making sure it doesnât touch her sandwich or her fries. Amelia has already started eating her chicken wrap, she didnât waste any time.Â
Caty puts the ketchup down and then Melissa reaches for it and pours some for Bella next to her fries. She then pours some on her own plate for her own fries and hands it to you. You take the ketchup and you pour it all over your fries.Â
âI never understood why you pour it all over instead of dipping them.â Melissa says and you look up.
âI like it better when itâs spread out on the fries instead of all at the end of the fry.â You tell her and she rolls her eyes at you.Â
The booth is then quiet for the first time since you sat down as everyone is stuffing food into their mouths. You and Melissa both take a bite of your meals, knowing you have 5 minutes of quiet.
After eating and paying for the meal, you all leave the diner and head to the van. Itâs a little harder to get the toddlers to sit still as you do up the car seats as theyâre very wiggly right now. You both manage to get it done and take a breath. You see the older twins are on their iPads and Amelia is on her phone, all of them distracted.
Once you get home, they all run inside and you see Elena doesnât even question it, just starts running around with them. You and Melissa go to the couch and just sit down as the kids continue running around downstairs. You know thereâs not much you both could do for the next 4 hours. Thatâs when the kids will hit the sugar crash and hopefully crash with it.Â
âHave you thought that maybe we should get another loveseat?â You ask over all the screaming.
âI have. 5 kids who will grow bigger and theyâll start inviting friends over a lot. We definitely are starting to need the extra room.â Melissa says.Â
âI was thinking we sell the one we have and then we get a matching pair.â You tell her.Â
âThatâs definitely an idea.âÂ
âOh, actually we sell the couch and the loveseat and get a matching set.â You say.Â
âWhat? Weâve had this couch for 10 years though.â She complains and you look at her.Â
âAnd itâs starting to look like it.â You tell her and she pouts. âWeâll get another couch thatâs similar.â
âBut this couch has memories. We got it when we got married and you were sitting on it when you were in labour with Nico and Caty.â She explains.
âAnd weâll make new memories with the new couch.â You say and then give her a kiss before she says anything else.Â
âFine.â She gives in and you smile. âYou canât just keep kissing me to win an argument.â She adds as she grabs the remote.
âThen stop giving in after I kiss you.â You counter. She rolls her eyes at you before she puts on Frozen. All the kids stop running and screaming and look at the tv.
The next morning, Melissa and Amelia are upstairs packing last minute items while you get the rest of the kids ready to go. You tie Catyâs laces up just as theyâre coming downstairs with Melissa carrying Ameliaâs suitcase.
âI just know youâll have so much fun there.â Melissa tells her. âIâm sure itâll be exactly what we talked about last night.â She adds.Â
âI hope so.â Amelia says.Â
âReady to go?â You ask them. Melissa looks at Amelia and Amelia takes a deep breath before nodding.Â
You get all the kids in and then you get in the driverâs seat. You managed to convince Melissa that youâll drive there as you donât want her to turn back around halfway there. Youâll miss Amelia a lot as well but you know sheâs growing up and needs to do things by herself more and start exploring the world. You get to the camp 45 minutes later and park. You all get out of the car and you hold the hands of the toddlers as you all walk in.
âHello, are you here for camp?â The lady asks and you nod. âWhatâs your name?âÂ
âAmelia Schemmenti.â Amelia says and she looks at the list.Â
âAh, yes, I have you right here.â She confirms. âI can lead you to where youâll be sleeping right now, after you say goodbye.â She adds.
Amelia turns and looks at all of you. Melissa leans down and immediately wraps Amelia up in a big hug. All the kids then follow suit and run to her to do a big group hug.Â
âYouâll be back in a week right?â Amelia asks Melissa.
âWe wonât be a second late.â Melissa confirms. âWeâll be cheering so loud as you dance as well. We already canât wait to see it.âÂ
Amelia nods and then she looks at you. Caty gets out of the way and then Amelia runs into your arms. You wrap her in a big hug and place a kiss on top of her head.Â
âIâll miss you so much sweetheart.â You tell her.
âIâll miss you too, mommy.âÂ
âMamma is right. We wonât miss the chance to watch you dance. Weâll be here as early as we can so we can get the best seats.â You say and she nods. âI hope you have so much fun and I love you.âÂ
âI love you too, mommy.âÂ
âI love you, Tesoro. And donât forget to call us.â Melissa says.
âI wonât. And I love you too, Mamma.â Amelia says and then Melissa places a kiss on her forehead.Â
Amelia then grabs her suitcase and starts rolling it as she walks towards the exit. She turns around before she walks through the door and waves at you all. You all wave back at her and then she walks out, door closing behind her. You hear Melissa let out a loud breath and you look at her.Â
âKids, I think Mamma needs a hug from all of you.â You tell them.Â
All the kids look at you before looking at Melissa. They then walk forward and all wrap their arms around Melissa. Melissa lets out a breath before she gets down on her knees. All of them then get even closer and she wraps her arms around all of them.Â
âThank you, my bambini.â She says. âHow about we go to the toy store?â She suggests and they all cheer.Â
Once you get to the toy store, they all run around, looking at all the toys on the shelves. The toddlers get carried away with touching everything while Nico and Caty scan the shelves. You grab Melissaâs hand as you both slowly walk.
âHow are you feeling?â You ask her.
âNot great.â She tells you. âThis is the longest weâll be apart from her since she was born.â
âNot exactly true.â You say and she looks at you. âRemember 3 years ago when I was pregnant with our youngest twins?â You ask and she nods. âI had to go on emergency maternity leave and I was told to stay off my feet 2 weeks before summer break. You were burning yourself out taking care of me, the kids and going to work. So to make sure you didnât collapseâŠâ
âWe sent the 3 kids to your parents' place for a week.â She finishes and you nod. âThat was such a quiet week. I hated it.â
âSo did I. But we made it through and before we know it, weâll be going to watch Amelia dance and then bring her home. But for now, we have 4 other kids to focus on.â You remind her and she nods.
âMommy, Mamma, look at this. Theyâre really small.â Caty says and you both walk over to her.
âOh, Polly Pockets. I used to play with those.â You tell her as you pick up a set.Â
âThey look like little Barbies.â Caty tells you and you smile.
âThey do, and are very fun to play with.â You say.
âI think I remember my siblings talking about them.â Melissa says as she looks at them. She then looks at her other kids and takes off. âMia! Bella! Donât touch that!â She yells.
âI think I want to start playing with Polly Pockets. They look like theyâre more fun.â Caty says.Â
âAlright, weâll get you a couple sets and dolls today and you can see how you like them.â You tell her and she smiles. âPick 2 sets that you want to start with.â You add and she takes a good look at all of them.
âMommy! Look at this tiny guitar I found.â Nico says as he comes over to you.
âOh, thatâs a ukulele.â You say as you look at it. He holds it to his body and then he strums all the 4 strings and giggles.Â
âCan I get it? It looks fun!â He asks you.Â
âAlright, you can get it.â You tell him and he lights up. âYouâll probably drive us both mad.â You mutter so he doesnât hear you.Â
âI want these two sets.â Caty tells you and holds two up.
âAlright.â You say.Â
âCaty, look. It looks like that science game you were playing.â Nico says and Caty looks over. They both run to it and Caty looks at the pictures.Â
âWoah! This looks cool.â She says as you go and join them.Â
âAlright you two jailbreakers, stay with one of us.â Melissa tells Mia and Bella.
You all leave the toy store an hour later and each kid got 2 new toys to take home. You know at least one toy from your toddlers will be played with for a week and then forgotten. You all get home and the kids take the bags and take out their toys.
âI want to do a science experiment right now!â Caty exclaims.
âI canât get my toy out!â Bella complains.
âMy ball is flat!â Mia says.Â
âHow do I play the ukulele?â Nico asks.Â
âIâll go get the scissors, and a pump.â You say as you disappear in the kitchen. Melissa smiles at all the complaints since the house is still loud and chaotic.
âAlright, Dolcezza, Stellina and Carina, put your toys down so we can get them out of the packaging. Ometto, Iâll show you something you can play in a bit.â Melissa tells them all.Â
An hour later, youâre doing an experiment with Caty, Mia is playing with her mini basketball, Bella is dressing up her new doll, and Melissa is teaching Nico a small part of a song.Â
âAlright, sweetheart, safety goggles on and stand back.â You tell her and you both put your safety goggles on.Â
Caty steps back as you put the last ingredient in and then step back as well. The contents in the jar start fizzling and then it starts getting higher and higher and fizzles right out of the jar and onto the tray. Caty watches it with a smile and you look to see her beaming.Â
âThat was so cool!â She exclaims and you smile. âI want to do another one!âÂ
Melissa looks over and she takes a picture of Caty with a huge smile. You both havenât seen her this excited about something in a while and you both love how happy she is.Â
âAlright, how about a liquid solution that will inflate a balloon without air?â You suggest as youâre reading through a list of experiments from the kit.
âYes! Letâs do that right now.â She tells you.Â
âOk, so this string and then this string. And put your other hand here.â Melissa instructs Nico.Â
âScore!â Mia exclaims as she got the basketball in the mini hoop.
âI wonder what hair style goes right with this outfit.â Bella says as she looks at her doll.
At night, you finish putting Caty and Elena to bed and you walk out. You slowly close the door and then you look over to see Melissa standing in Ameliaâs doorway. Ameliaâs door is open and Melissa is staring at her empty bed. You walk over to her and wrap your arms around her waist.
âI miss her too.â You say.
âI havenât heard her voice in 12 hours.â She tells you. âWhen she was at your parents place, we talked to them 3 times a day.â
âYou know, sheâs probably having the time of her life.â You tell her. âSheâs probably making friends with everyone there, doing all sorts of activities, having so much fun dancing.âÂ
âI know she probably is.â Melissa says with a sigh.
âCome on, letâs go to bed. Youâll feel better tomorrow. And who knows, she might call us.â You say and she lets you lead her to bed.Â
Amelia did end up calling you in the morning after she ate breakfast at camp. She only had a few minutes but she was saying how much fun she had yesterday and everything theyâre doing today. She also mentioned a couple girls that sheâs sharing a room with and they were swapping stories last night.Â
Throughout the week, youâve both been going out and doing things with your 4 kids, mostly to distract Melissa. The kids arenât complaining as theyâre all places that are super fun and theyâve been chaotic at each one.Â
On Friday night, you noticed it was taking her a while to put Nico to bed so you went to check on her. When you open the door, you see that sheâs passed out on his bed, with her arms wrapped around a sleeping Nico. You also see thereâs a book on the bed that she must have been reading to him. You go over to the bed and pick up the book before putting it away. You then go over to the bed and pull the blanket over them and then turn off the light and close the door.
On Saturday night, you see sheâs in a good mood since youâre going to see Amelia tomorrow and to pick her up. In fact she was in such a good mood that she ambushed you when you were walking to the bed and kissed you hard. She then pushed you on the bed and climbed on top of you with a grin and lust filled eyes.Â
On Sunday morning, sheâs in the kitchen making breakfast and you come down with the kids. You hear singing coming from the kitchen and you smile and shake your head.
âIs Mamma singing?â Caty asks.
âSounds like it.â You tell her. âHow about you all go play, Iâll see how long until breakfast.â You add and they all run to their play areas. You go into the kitchen quietly and see Melissa at the stove. Sheâs cooking breakfast and singing with a smile. âWhat an angelic voice.â You say and she whips her head up at you.
âHow long have you been standing there?âÂ
âAbout 20 seconds.â You tell her and then go up to her. âI take it youâre happy that Amelia is coming back home today?âÂ
âYa, it felt different without her here this week.â
âYa, it did.âÂ
âSo Iâm making breakfast, which should be done in 5 minutes, and making cookies as well to celebrate her return from camp.âÂ
âIâm sure the kids will absolutely love it.â You say. âAlso Iâm driving to the camp. I donât want you taking the rules of the road as suggestions.â You add as you give her a kiss on the cheek before you go into the living room.
You all pull up to the camp 6 hours later and get out. There was someone there directing people where to go for the dance routine so you followed the directions they gave. The performance doesnât start until 12:30 so youâre there 30 minutes early but Melissa insisted on leaving early. You make it to the room where the performance will take place and find 6 seats in the front row.
You get the kids set up with toys to occupy them as youâll have to wait for half an hour. All of a sudden you hear Melissa yell and sheâs up out of her chair in a second. You look over to see her collide with Amelia in a big hug. You stand up and you walk over to her.
âI missed you so much, Tesoro.â Melissa tells her.
âI missed you too, Mamma.â Amelia says and then she pulls away before hugging you. âI missed you as well Mommy.â
âOh, I missed you too sweetheart. The house wasnât the same without you.â You tell her.
âI have to go stretch before the dance routines but I just wanted to come and see you both.âÂ
âWell we appreciate that, weâre always happy to see you.â You say.
âNow go stretch so you donât pull a muscle. And Iâll be recording you dancing, my little superstar.â Melissa tells her and Amelia smiles before she runs off.
Half an hour later the show begins. Amelia was in the second row but you were able to see her clearly. At one point you had Bella on your lap and you pointed to Amelia to show her that her sister is up there.
âSissy!â She yells out and a few parents look over but donât say anything.Â
You all watch Amelia dance with a smile on her face. You see her moving quickly, spinning and being in sync with everyone else.
When the song is over and all the kids bow, Amelia starts coming over to all of you. She doesnât make it all the way as all of her siblings ambush her with a hug. You stopped recording the video you took and quickly sent it to the Abbott crew group chat.
On the way home, Amelia was excitedly telling you all about everything that happened at camp. She told you about the activities they did, the friends she made, the stories the other kids told.Â
At nighttime, Melissa goes into Ameliaâs room to read to her like always and finds Amelia passed out on her bed. Melissa is a bit disappointed as she loves reading to Amelia, how she cuddles into Melissa as she reads. She goes over to Ameliaâs bed and pulls the blanket over her and gives her a kiss on the forehead. She turns her light off and then looks at Amelia again before closing the door.Â
âAre you not reading to her?â You ask as youâre just coming out of Catyâs room.
âShe was passed out on her bed.â Melissa explains and you hum.Â
âSo I was thinking that on Wednesday we can go shopping to get all the school supplies that our kids will need.â You say as you both walk to the bedroom. âGive Amelia a few days rest and to get settled back at home before getting her to think about school.âÂ
âSure, sounds good.â Melissa tells you without looking at you.
âWhatâs wrong?â You ask and she looks at you.Â
âNothing, itâs fine.â She says and you get on the bed and open your arms, inviting her to cuddle on you. Melissa sighs before she gets in the bed and immediately clings to you.Â
âWhatâs going on in that beautiful head of yours?âÂ
âWell, I guess Iâm a bit disappointed that Amelia fell asleep. I was excited to read to her again and have her cuddle into me.âÂ
âI know you missed her.â You say and move her hair out of her face. âBut look at it this way. She had so much fun at camp that she passed out.â
âI know.âÂ
âAnd sheâll cuddle into you tomorrow night as you read to her. And the night after tomorrow, and the night after that, and the night after that.âÂ
âYouâre right.â She tells you. After a few minutes you look at her face and see she fell asleep, cuddled into you. You carefully reach over to turn off your lamp before you fall asleep yourself.
On Wednesday at noon, you bring all your kids to the store and go to the school supply aisles. Melissa has the 2 supply lists in her hand and she puts her glasses on, ready to start reading them. The toddlers are both in the cart, looking at everything they can attempt to touch.
âAmelia wonât even need a few things on here.â Melissa says and you look at her.Â
âUnless youâve done lesson plans for the entire year then you donât really know.â You say and Melissa looks up at you.Â
âI know because Iâve been teaching second grade for 25 years.â She counters. âWhy would they need 5 glue sticks?â
âTo glue things.â You immediately say.
âI know that, but they donât need that many glue sticks. Theyâll need 3 at the most.âÂ
âAlright, Amelia, pick a binder.â You say, ignoring Melissa at this point.Â
Amelia looks at all the binders and picks a glittery pink one and puts it in the cart. She then goes to get a colour coded organizer for it and puts it in the cart as well.Â
âAlright, all of you need duotangs. Amelia you need 4, and Nico and Caty, you need 2.â Melissa says.
âWhat are duotangs?â Nico asks.Â
âAnnoying folders.â Amelia says and then walks over to them. Amelia immediately grabs a green, a red, a yellow and a blue one.Â
âDo we need specific colours?â Caty asks Melissa.
âFor kindergarten, no.â Melissa tells her.Â
Caty ends up grabbing a green and a blue one while Nico grabs a red and a black one. You walk over and grab 5 stacks of line paper and add it to the cart. The 3 kids will need one stack each and you and Melissa need one for your classrooms.
âAlright, now comes the fun part, you get to pick pencil cases, pencils and erasers.â You tell them all and Amelia raises an eyebrow the same way Melissa does.Â
âYou have a very different definition of fun than we do, Mommy.â Amelia tells you.
âOh come on. It is fun. You three get to pick what colours you want, what design you like, any fun shapes.â You say with a smile.Â
âLetâs go see what they have.â Caty says and they all start walking down the aisle.
âYou were enjoying that werenât you?â You ask Melissa and she smirks.
âDefinitely.â She says and you roll your eyes. âIf it makes you feel better, Iâll have to deal with her attitude all day. In the classroom and at home.â
âThat does make me feel better actually.â You tell her before you follow your kids. Melissa pushes the cart forward as Bella and Mia are looking around and trying to grab everything.
âYou three donât need 50 snacks to bring to school, pick three things.â Melissa tells them half an hour later.Â
âBut Mamma, we want everything.â Nico complains and Melissa rubs her temples.
âJust 3 things.â She says sternly and they all huff before they all talk about what snacks to choose. They all end up choosing one each and they put it in the cart.Â
5 minutes later you pull out your phone as the kids start questioning Melissa as to why they have to get so many fruits and vegetables and not more snacks. Melissa looks up at you at one point and sees you casually playing on your phone instead of helping her. Sheâs not that surprised as you seem to enjoy watching the chaos instead of helping her.
âFor the last time, you got your unhealthy school snacks but you need something healthy to eat as well. Also, most of these I use for dinner. So zip your traps.â Melissa tells her kids.Â
âBut Mamma!â They all complain and you smirk as all 3 start talking to her at once.
âNo, I said zip it, or no cookies later.â She threatens and they all stop talking. The 3 kids then start walking and probably plotting something while Melissa walks over to you. âYou could have helped you know.â She says and you look up at her as you both start walking and you push the cart.
âI could have, but itâs more fun watching.â You say with a smile and she rolls her eyes. âIf you wanted someone to help you with the chaos then you should have married someone who doesnât enjoy watching chaos.âÂ
âWhy would I do that? They sound boring.â She counters and you chuckle. âLooks like we just need to pick out some school bags.â She says as she looks at the list.
âThen letâs go.â You tell her before you go catch up with your kids.
5 minutes later youâre all in the aisle with the backpacks and your 3 oldest are wandering up and down the aisle, looking at all the options. Youâre on your phone, standing next to the cart, near Bella and Mia so they donât grab anything. Melissa is pointing out all the pros and cons of each backpack to the kids.
âThis one has a car on it, I want that one.â Nico points to one.
âItâs not a very useful backpack.â Caty tells him.
âI donât care about it being useful, itâs cool looking.â He tells her and then grabs the car backpack. He brings it over to the cart and you take it from him and put it in the cart.Â
âLook Mamma, a Barbie one.â Caty says and Melissa takes it and they look at it together.Â
âThis looks like a great pick, Dolcezza.â Melissa tells her and Caty takes it with a smile and gives it to you to put in the cart. âSee one you like, Tesoro?âÂ
âI donât know, Mamma.â Amelia says and Melissa looks at her.
âIs everything alright?âÂ
âI donât want the mistake of getting one that might be tooâŠchildish.â She tells her and Melissa furrows her eyebrows.
âWhat do you mean too childish? Itâs a backpack and you pick one you like.âÂ
âBut Mamma, if I get one like Caty did then the other kids might not like the pick because itâs for kids.â Amelia explains and Melissa sighs. Melissa has seen this many times, second grade is when they start to think about fitting in with everyone.
âTesoro, you get one you like without the worry about what your classmates and friends will think. Also your friends will respect your choice if theyâre your true friends.â Melissa tells her and Amelia looks at her then looks back at the backpacks.
âI-I like the purple one with the pink ballerina shoes and music notes.â Amelia says and Melissa smiles before she grabs it.
â$600?â Melissa complains as she puts her card in the machine. âYour kids are getting more expensive every year.â She mutters to you and you snort.
âTheyâre yours as well.â You counter as you put the bags in the cart and she takes her card out.Â
âAnd theyâre damn expensive kids.â She says as she takes the receipt from the cashier. âLetâs go bambini.â She tells her 3 oldest as they were watching a YouTube video on Ameliaâs phone.
At home, Melissa was chasing Bella and Mia while complaining that sheâs too old for this, and you help the other 3 get their school supplies ready.
âSo youâll need to put your pencils, erasers, scissors, your small ruler, the whiteout and the pencil in your pencil case.â You explain and they all grab their supplies before loading up their pencil cases.
âOk, letâs switch, I need to work on my cardio.â Melissa tells you as she catches her breath. You smirk before you get up. You poke her ribs by surprise, earning a squeak from her and you laugh. She secretly flips you off before you go play with Mia and Bella and she goes to help the 3 with the supplies.
Later that day, all your kids are running around outside, playing whatever attracts their attention. You and Melissa are on the porch swing, your head on her chest and arms wrapped around her waist. Melissa is mindlessly playing with your hair as you both watch your kids.Â
âDo you remember how it was before the kids?â She randomly asks.
âBarely.â You tell her.
âIt was quiet.â She says and you feel her twirl a strand of your hair with her fingers.
âIt was, there wasnât 5 kids making noise.âÂ
âYa, I much prefer the noise. The quietness wasâŠtoo quiet.â She tells you and you look up at her. She drops your strands of hair and looks at you.Â
âIs something on your mind?â You ask her.Â
â3 kids are going to be at Abbott, 3 of my own kids.â She starts and she glances at them before looking back at you. âI never thought Iâd ever get to say that. I never thought Iâd get to say that I have a child, let alone 5.â She says and takes a deep breath. âAmelia is 7 and a half and yet sometimes it still doesnât feel real that the family I always wanted, that I always dreamed about, is real. I mean I was 40 when we met, I thought I wouldnât get that family.âÂ
âDoes it almost not feel real that they all love you as well?â You ask and she nods.Â
âI never knew if Iâd be a great mom or not.âÂ
âI knew you would be.â You tell her. âI knew before we even got together that youâd be a great mom.â
âHow would you know that?â
âAre you forgetting that I was your aide?â You ask her and she chuckles. âI saw how you were with your students. Youâre so enthusiastic and optimistic with them. You love storytelling because you get to do silly voices and listen to them laugh, you love when they smile when they get their tests and assignments back and see that you put a sticker. You make sure they all have something to eat because you donât want any of them to be hungry. You get school supplies from one of your guys if one of your students needs it and their parents canât afford it. You care so much about your students even though theyâre not yours.â You tell her and she looks down. âThatâs your maternal side and instinct, and I saw it everyday. So when you told me that you want kids, I knew youâd be an amazing mother. And I was right.âÂ
Melissa smiles before she kisses your forehead. You both hear your kids laughing and you look to see all 5 of them playing soccer. Amelia is goalie, Mia and Nico are a team while Bella and Caty are the other team. Melissa wraps her arm tighter around you and you lean your head back on her chest.
*10 days later*
âSo what sound does a dog make?â Melissa asks Bella and Mia.
âWoof woof.â Bella says and Melissa smiles.
âThatâs right, Stellina.â She says and Bella attacks her with a hug. âWoah!âÂ
You come through the front door with the 3 oldest and Melissa looks at you all. You see Bella is on her lap while Mia is pressing buttons on the animal book.
âWell, 3 kids, zero cavities.â You exclaim and Melissa smiles.Â
âThatâs a shock. With the amount of sugar you chocolate addicts eat, I was expecting at least one.â She teases and you roll your eyes.Â
âAlso, Amelia has another loose tooth, her last front tooth.â You announce and Amelia nods.
âIt just started becoming loose but the dentist noticed.â Amelia says with a smile. âThat means $5 in about a week or two.â She adds and you raise an eyebrow at Melissa.Â
âShe was bragging about it the entire trip home.â You say and Melissa laughs.Â
âMamma, look how clean my teeth are!â Nico exclaims as he runs up to her and smiles widely, showing her all of his teeth.
âWoah, theyâre so shiny.â She tells him.
âLook at mine, Mamma!â Caty says as she runs over and shows her teeth.
âOh my god, you both have such shiny teeth!â Melissa says and they both smile proudly. âAnd just in time to start school next week.â She adds.Â
âDo you and Mommy have to go to work tomorrow?â Nico asks.
âYa, we do. We have to get the classrooms ready for everyone.â Melissa tells him and you look at the 10 boxes beside the front door.Â
âAnd you get to play with kids all day at daycare for the week.â You tell him and Melissa nods.
âSo you can bug other kids that arenât your sisters.â Caty says and high fives with Amelia.
âDonât team up against your brother.â You tell them.
âThen whatâs the point of siblings?â Amelia immediately asks.
âYou guys are definitely Melissaâs kids.â You say and Melissa smirks. âStop smirking.â You add and sit on the couch. Elena immediately jumps up and lays her head on your lap and you start petting her.Â
Later that night you and Melissa slip into bed after putting the kids to bed. You go on your phone as Melissa lays down and gets comfy.
âPut your phone down and come be my little spoon.â She says and you look at her.Â
She gets on her side and pats the spot in front of her while looking at you. You shake your head with a smile before you plug in your phone and lay down. Melissa immediately wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you right up against her. You hear her hum happily and you smile.
âYou seem happy right now.âÂ
âI am. All my kids are asleep and Iâm comfy in bed while cuddling my wife. Also itâs just past 9 so thatâs almost 8 hours of sleep.â Melissa tells you.Â
You turn around in her arms so that youâre both face to face and you look at each other. You give her a kiss before you nuzzle your head in her chest. She tightens her hold around you before you both fall asleep.
Just want to say that if anyone goes to see Lisa on Heathers, if you record her on the show and post it here then I will write any Lisa fanfic you want. I really want to go see her but I canât afford it right now đą
So I decided to start a small series of Agatha and Reader on my patreon where reader is Wanda's little sister. The first chapter is available to everyone and the second chapter will have early access for paid members. Here's a small snippet with the link at the bottom. Not edited in the slightest and I hope you like it!
The Baby Sister - Part 1
Pairing: Agatha Harkness x Reader
Summary: After Wanda introduces you to Agatha, Agatha makes a plan to get closer to you.
Warnings: Mentions of era homophobia
Words: 3.9K
You were walking up the path to Wandaâs house and you hear voices coming from the house. You go up to the house and it sounds like Wanda is in there talking to another woman. You knock on the door and a few seconds later Wanda opens the door.
âHey Y/n, come on in.â Wanda tells you and you step aside and see the other woman sitting on the couch. âAgnes, Iâd like you to meet Y/n, sheâs my little sister.â Wanda introduces you and you give her a wave. Agnes gets up from the couch and walks over to you.
âHello dear, Iâm Agnes. Arenât you a pretty girl.â She tells you and heat rushes to your cheeks.Â
âOh, um, thank you.â You tell her and she smiles.Â
âYouâll have to excuse her Agnes, sheâs a little shy around new people.â Wanda says.
âWell thatâs alright, sheâll get to know me. Especially since Iâm your neighbour and pretty involved with the community.â Agnes says. âDo you live close by?â Agnes asks you and you nod.
âI live 4 houses down on the right that way.â You say and point which direction your house is in.Â
âWell, Iâm sure weâll get to know each other very well.â Agnes tells you. She then says goodbye and leaves you two be.Â
âAgnes is pretty out there, but sheâs a lot of fun.â Wanda tells you.Â
âI can see that.â You tell her. âI came by to see how youâre settling in.â You add.
âI think weâre doing pretty good so far. Let me show you around.â She says and you nod.
Agatha gets home and sits on the couch. She wonders if Wanda having a little sister will make things easier. Sheâs a pretty girl and it seems like Wanda is pretty protective of her. Of course after losing a brother, she must be very protective of her other sibling. She goes over to the window 30 minutes later and sees you leaving. Maybe she can get close to you at the same time as she gets close to Wanda. She magics a pie into her hands and sees you stepping into your home. She goes out and walks over to your house and knocks on the door. You open the door a few seconds later and youâre surprised to see her there.
âOh, hi Agnes.â You tell her and she smiles.
âHi Y/n. I found a pie in the fridge I made earlier today and thought about sharing it with you. And maybe get to know each other.â She tells you and you give her a small smile before you step aside to let her in. 5 minutes later youâre both sitting at the dinner table and having a piece of pie and some tea. âSo you live here by yourself?â She asks and you nod.
âWanda wanted me close so her husband bought it for me, which was really sweet of him.â You explain and she hums. âDo you have a husband or do you live by yourself?â
âI have a husband but heâs almost never home, so itâs like I live by myself.â She says. She watches as you grab your tea and you look at her before looking down at your tea as you take a sip. âI hope I havenât made you uncomfortable in any way.â She tells you and you shake your head as you put your cup down.
âYou havenât. I was always just the shy, quiet child in the family.â You tell her and she nods. âDo you have any siblings?â
âNo, Iâm an only child, which I quite liked as I got all the attention.â She says and you let out a small chuckle. âHow do you feel about your sister getting married?â
âWell Iâm happy for her, she loves Vision and he makes her happy.â You say. âThis pie is delicious, but I should stop or else I wonât have room for dinner.â You add and she smiles.Â
âIâm glad you liked it. Is pie your favourite baked food?â She asks and you shake your head.Â
âMy favourite baked food is actually banana bread and a close second favourite is chocolate cake.â You tell her. âBut Iâll never say no to any food.â You add and she lets out a chuckle.Â
âHow about tomorrow, we have dinner together at my house?â She asks you and you smile.
âSure, Iâd love to.â You say.Â
âExcellent. Iâm looking forward to seeing you.â She tells you. âHave a great evening dear.âÂ
âYou as well, Agnes.â You tell her as you walk her to the door.Â
You shut the door and you have a smile on your face. Agnes is being so nice to you and you have a feeling that youâll be great friends with her. Wanda insisted you move to Westview with her, and she said itâll be perfect for you. Itâs a small but close community and the chance to make friends. Plus sheâs there and sheâd love to have you close to her. Maybe Wanda is right about being able to make new friends here, a fresh start. You let out a breath before you go to the kitchen and get started on dinner.Â
Agatha walks out of her house and sees two guests enter Wandaâs house. She then goes back to her own house and looks out her window and sees whatâs going on in Wandaâs house. She gets a call from Wanda about 30 minutes later and goes over to her place with a bunch of food. She goes over all the instructions to Wanda as Wanda keeps trying to get her to leave. Sheâs almost out the door when she turns back to Wanda.
âYouâre sister is lovely by the way, I had tea with her and weâre having dinner together tomorrow.â She tells her and it throws Wanda off guard for a couple of seconds. She then hears voices from the living room and it snaps her out of it.
âIâm really happy that sheâs making friends.â Wanda says and then Agatha leaves. Sheâs definitely going to make friends with you if it makes Wanda concerned.

Mine - Part 61
Pairing: Melissa Schemmenti x Reader
Summary: It's the month of July and the Schemmentis' are busy!
Warnings: Swearing (in English and Italian)

You and Melissa are laying in bed, you donât have anywhere to be or to go. Youâre both catching your breath and your head is laying on her chest as her arm is wrapped around you. After waking up at 5am all year, you both naturally woke up at 5:30 and decided to make the most of your extra time.Â
All of a sudden you hear footsteps running outside the door and kids screaming and giggling. You then hear a loud clank and you sigh as youâre imagining what possibly got knocked over. Melissa kisses your forehead as you know you both have to get up in a few seconds.Â
âWe locked the door, right?â You ask her.
âYa, we did.â She confirms and then you both hear the door handle trying to open.
âMamma! Mommy!â You hear and bury your head between her breasts.
âI think this means summer has officially begun.â Melissa tells you and you nod. âThat means we need to get up.âÂ
â2 more seconds.â You tell her.
âMamma! Mommy!â You hear again.Â
âOne minute!â Melissa tells them.Â
15 minutes later, everyone is in their pjs downstairs. Melissa is in the kitchen with Amelia, Caty and Nico as she teaches them how to make French toast. Youâre in the living room with the toddlers as theyâre playing with their toys. Mia is playing with a ball while Bella is brushing her doll's hair.Â
âMommy, look! Hair is pretty.â Bella tells you and you look up and at her doll. You see that she did 2 little braids in the dollâs hair.Â
âOh, thatâs wonderful.â You tell her. At that moment you see Melissa setting the table. âCome on you two, breakfast is ready.âÂ
âMommy, can I do your hair after breakfast?â Bella asks you.
âYou could, but you know who would benefit more? Mamma.â You say and Melissa looks up at you. Bella smiles widely and then runs over to Melissa.Â
âMamma, Mamma, can I do your hair after breakfast?â She asks and Melissa is at a loss for words.
âOnly if Amelia and Caty are supervising.â She says.
âThey donât need to, Iâm good at it.âÂ
âIâm sure you are, Stellina, so maybe you can show them how good you are.â Melissa suggests and Bella nods. You walk over to Melissa and hug her waist.
âSheâs been practicing on all her dolls, I think sheâs gotten better.â You tell her.
âIâll still want those two there to make sure she doesnât mess up, my hair is precious.âÂ
âIt sure is. Beautiful ginger locks.â You agree and Melissa smiles at you as you run your fingers through her hair.
An hour and a half later, Bella steps away from Melissaâs hair with a smile. Amelia and Caty look to see she did two half braids as she started at Melissaâs neck. Caty tilts her head as Amelia tries not to laugh.Â
âMammaâs hair is pretty.â Bella says and you look up.Â
âWhat lovely little braids you gave her.â You say and Melissa looks at you.Â
âDid she mess up my hair?â Melissa whispers and you shake your head.Â
âNo, not your hair, just the braids.â You tell her.Â
Later that day, you and Melissa are sitting on the porch swing as you watch your kids run around in the backyard. Amelia left her phone with you both as the 3 kids are playing with the water guns as Elena is chasing them. You look over to see Mia and Bella playing in the little house you have. You curl up onto Melissa, watching the kids playing in peace, and then it started.
âMy toy!â You hear and look to see the toddlers are fighting over a toy again.
âAre they ever not fighting over a toy?â Melissa asks.Â
âI think the fact that they share a room makes it confusing what toy is whose.â You tell her.Â
âYou already stole my face, I keep my toy!â Mia says.
âIâm older, you stole my face!â Bella counters.Â
âI had it first!â Mia says.
âNo you didnât, I did!âÂ
âAre they seriously arguing over who got the face first?â Melissa asks, in complete disbelief.
âYep.â Is all you say.
âIâll get popsicles, maybe thatâll distract them.â Melissa says as she stands up. A couple minutes later she comes out with the popsicle box. âWho wants a popsicle!â She shouts and all the kids stop what theyâre doing.Â
Melissa then gets ambushed by 5 kids all asking for a popsicle at the same time. Melissa reaches in the box and pulls out a handful and then they all disappear in one second. All the kids leave with their popsicle and then Melissa goes to you and hands you one and then grabs one for herself.Â
âAw, I got red, I prefer orange.â Caty complains.
âI got orange, wanna trade?â Nico asks and they trade popsicles.Â
After everyone finishes the popsicles, Caty is using the hose to wash her hands as it melted all over her hands. She then goes back to water gun fighting while Elena is trying to catch all the water. While that is happening, Mia and Bella come up to you and Melissa. They donât say anything as Bella climbs on Melissa and Mia climbs on you.
âSomething you two need?â You ask them gently.Â
âCuddles.â Mia says as she lays her head on you.
âAnd maybe kisses.â Bella adds.Â
âKisses?â Melissa asks before she showers Bellaâs face with kisses and Bella starts giggling.
âMamma?â You hear and look up to see Amelia coming up to you. âI was wondering if maybe I can have some friends over for July 4th?â She asks. âAnita, Lara and Melina said they have no plans that day.â She adds.Â
âWeâll think about it.â Melissa says.
âOk, all their parents said that if youâre ok with it then they donât mind.â Amelia says and then goes back to playing with her siblings.Â
âTheyâre coming over Iâm guessing.â You say without looking up.Â
âObviously, but no harm in letting her wait.â Melissa tells you. âIâll need to stop at the store to get more food. Iâll be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken.â
âCan we eat that tonight?â Mia asks and Melissa smiles.
âNot tonight, Carina. In a few days.â Melissa says.
*July 4th*
Melissa is at the barbecue, grilling all the food. Youâre currently putting coloured freckles and stars on Nico and Catyâs faces as Mia and Bella are waiting for their turn. Amelia, Anita, Melina and Lara are running around with sparklers in their hands.Â
âKeep those away from your faces!â Melissa yells at them. You finish with Nicoâs face and he starts smelling the food. He quickly bolts from his seat and runs over to Melissa.
âIs the food done yet?â He asks.
âNot yet, Ometto. Itâll be ready in about 10 minutes.â Melissa says and he pouts.
âCanât I have a taste?â He asks her and she smiles.
âNo. Now how about you go bring the condiments out and put them on the table?â She suggests.
âThen I can eat?âÂ
âIf it takes you 10 minutes then yes.âÂ
Nico runs inside and goes into the kitchen to grab everything. Melissa looks at the ground beside her and Elena is there looking at her. Her tongue is sticking out and tail is wagging. Melissa raises an eyebrow at her and then Elena sits perfectly.
âYouâre not getting any before itâs done either.â Melissa tells her. Elena lets out a whine and then walks away. âMy god these kids are impatient.âÂ
âI want stars!â Bella exclaims.
âYou have stars.â Mia says and Bella looks at her.
âReally?â
âYa, in your dreams.â Mia counters and Bella pouts.
âThatâs enough girls. Bella, I can add a couple stars if you want.â You tell her.
âPlease Mommy, I want stars.â Bella tells you and you nod.Â
10 minutes later, everyone has stars and freckles that are red, white and blue. Melissa then puts the meat on the table as everyone comes over to start eating. You and Melissa are at the ends of the table, Amelia and her friends are squashing in one bench while the other kids are on the other bench. Everyone then starts reaching across, getting buns, meat and condiments.Â
âPass the buns.â
âCan I have the ketchup?â
âI want a second hot dog.âÂ
âMommy can you pass the juice?â
âMamma, Elena wants some chicken.âÂ
Melissa is slightly overwhelmed keeping up with everything but she loves it. Everyone is talking at the same time and reaching everywhere. This is the exact kind of chaos sheâs always wanted in her household and now she has it. She cuts up a piece of chicken and then gives it to Elena who gobbles it up quickly.Â
You and Melissa lock eyes and you both know that youâre enjoying everything. Melissa then looks over to see Caty perfectly adding the ingredients and in a specific order. Then beside her, Nico is grabbing whatever he can reach and slapping it on his burger without a single care. You and Melissa gave the toddlers pieces of a cut up hot dog and they seem to be enjoying it. Amelia and her friends are talking to each other as they decorate their hot dog and hamburger.
âI made some mac and cheese if anyone wants some.â Melissa says to everyone.Â
She puts some on her own plate and then passes it to Amelia. The mac and cheese goes around the table, each person taking some. You look to see Caty carefully adding some to her plate, making sure it doesnât touch her hamburger. She then passes it to Nico who slaps some on his plate, some of it getting on the hamburger and he doesnât seem to care.
You look over to see Bella asking Melissa for more mac and cheese and gets excited about having more on her plate. She then picks up a piece of hot dog with both hands and shoves it in her mouth. Mia added so much to her hot dog that everything is slipping off it. She brings a piece to her mouth but it slipped out and fell on the ground, which Elena happily cleaned up.
You look over at the other twins as they start eating. Caty takes a couple bites and everything stays in her bun and itâs all controlled. Beside her, Nico takes a huge bite and a piece of lettuce, tomato and sauces slip out and fall on his plate.
Everyoneâs elbows are bumping as they all eat and multiple conversations happening at the same time. Some kid is always reaching across for something.
At night, everyone comes back inside the house. You all went to the park to watch the fireworks and then you dropped Ameliaâs friends off at their house right after.
âWow, those fireworks were amazing!â Nico exclaims.
âYa, loud, but amazing.â Caty agrees.Â
âThe ending was incredible and so colourful.â Amelia says. You and Melissa walk in behind them, each of you has a toddler sleeping in your arms.
âWeâre going to put the toddlers to bed. How about you three get ready for bed?â You suggest and the 3 kids run upstairs.
The next morning Melissa wakes up and she looks to see youâre still asleep. She smiles as she watches you sleep and runs a hand through your hair. You then flutter your eyes open and see Melissa watching you with a smile.
âShould I be concerned that youâre planning something I wonât like?â You ask and she laughs.
âNo, Iâm just enjoying watching you.âÂ
âHm, youâre always so sentimental on our anniversary.â You tell her.
âAnd this one is extra special, our 10 year anniversary.â
âI know, it feels just like yesterday that I walked down the aisle and exchanged vows with you.â
âKissing you in the kitchen was the most important and best decision of my life.âÂ
âYou mean the evening you decided to make me dinner for getting a job at Abbott?âÂ
âYep. The best evening ever.âÂ
âWell, we did make out for most of it.â
âNot just for that reason.â Melissa says as she puts a hand on your waist and rubs your bare skin. âBut itâs where our relationship started.â She says and you look at her with a smile. âI never thought Iâd get any of thisâŠthis family.âÂ
âYou were always going to get this.â You say softly. âYou just needed someone as chaotic as you are.â You tease and she huffs.Â
âInsane is more like it.âÂ
âWell if Iâm insane, then what does that say about you? You asked me to marry you.â You counter and she laughs. Before either of you say anything else, Melissaâs phone starts ringing. Melissa turns around and grabs her phone and puts her glasses on.
âI wonder why Barb is calling at this hour.â Melissa says and then accepts the call. âHey Barb, whatâs up?â She asks. While Melissa is on the phone, you decide to take the opportunity to snuggle closer to her. Melissa continues talking to Barb but wraps her free arm around you and pushes you closer to her. A couple minutes later she ends the call and you look up at her.
âWhat was she calling about?â
âSheâs offering to come over and babysit the kids in 4 hours since itâs our anniversary.â She tells you and you sit up.
âWhat did you say?âÂ
âI told her we happily accept the offer.â She says and you kiss her. âSo we have a couple hours to do whatever we want together.â
âWell we have time to decide later. Right now, I want to do something that I did the first time we slept together, or at least the morning after.â You tell her. You then climb on top of her and reach inside her nightstand drawer and pull out the dildo.
âWell you certainly have my full attention, Amore." She tells you and you smile.
4 hours later, all the kids are playing or running around. Mia and Bella are running around the living room with Elena, Caty and Amelia are playing Barbie while Nico is building a train track with Melissa.
âWeâre using every piece so itâll be huge!â Nico exclaims and Melissa smiles.
âOk, I can start building it with you but Aunt Barb will be here at any moment.â Melissa tells him and Nico nods.Â
A few minutes later, the doorbell rings and Elena and Caty run to the door.
âI got it!â She yells and then opens the door. âHi Aunt Barb and Uncle Gerald.âÂ
âHi dear. Wow, youâve certainly grown since I last saw you, you might get to be taller than your Mamma.âÂ
âThatâs the goal.â Caty tells her with a smirk.
âI can hear you both.â Melissa calls out.Â
âWell, Gerald and I are here to watch the kids.â Barb says as she enters the house.Â
âWe really appreciate this Barb and Gerald.â You tell her as you stand up.Â
âOh itâs not a problem, we love spending time with your kids.â Barb tells you.
âUncle Gerald, do you want to build a huge train track with me?â Nico asks him.
âSure.â Gerald tells him and then takes Melissaâs spot. All of the kids then say goodbye to you and Melissa and then they leave. Amelia watches from the window as Melissa pulls out from the driveway and drives away before she turns around.Â
âOk, our plan starts.â Amelia announces.
âIâll go get the supplies from the car.â Barb tells her.
âWhat plan?â Caty asks.Â
âSurprising Mamma and Mommy with a celebration for their 10 year anniversary. Aunt Barb and I came up with an idea to do a vow renewal.â
âWhatâs a vow renewal?â Nico asks and Barb comes back.
âWhen Mamma and Mommy got married, they made promises to each other to always love each other and thatâs a vow. So today theyâll renew their vows.â Amelia explains.
âBut if Mommy and Mamma already made the promise to love each other forever, why do they need to make them again?â Caty asks.
âItâs mostly just a symbolic thing, dear. Something special and this time, you 5 will be there to witness it.â Barb says and then Elena barks. âSorry Elena, I meant you 6 will be there to witness it.â
âSo, the plan is, Barb and I will make a celebration lunch. While the rest of you and the rest of the Abbott crew decorate the backyard.â Amelia says.
âTheyâre coming over, the coworkers?â Nico asks and Amelia nods just a second before the doorbell rings.
An hour later, the Abbott crew, Gerald and Nico are decorating while Caty is instructing them so it looks perfect and symmetrical. The toddlers are having fun running around with balloons with Elena. Amelia and Barb are busy making a cake and some small appetizers.Â
An hour later the backyard is filled with streamers, balloons, fold out chairs and the backyard table has the cake and the appetizers on it. The kids are now making cards for their parents to celebrate. The toddlers finish first and then Bella decides to dress up Elena. She gets Elena to wear a clip on bow tie and a party hat. The kids are finishing up their cards when they all hear a car pulling in and know that you and Melissa got home. Amelia stands up and runs inside and goes to the front door just as youâre both walking in.
âHey Tesoro, where is everyone?â Melissa asks her.
âIn the backyard. Which is where you need to go.â Amelia tells her and both of them look at her in confusion and then Amelia runs out to the backyard. You and Melissa exchange a look before you both walk out to the backyard and Melissa opens the door.
âSURPRISE! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!â Everyone yells and the kids throw flower petals at you. Melissa stands there frozen, in shock, while a few tears slip down your face and you place a hand over your heart.Â
âOh my god, you did all of this for us?â You ask and everyone nods. You then elbow Melissa in the ribs and it snaps her out of her trance.
âOw!â She complains.Â
âAmelia planned out the whole thing.â Barb announces and Melissa looks at Amelia whoâs smiling widely.Â
âTesoro, you planned all of this for me and Mommy?â Melissa asks in disbelief and Amelia nods.
âDo-do you like it?â She asks. Melissa looks around and takes in the streamers, the balloons, the chairs and the food, all in one second.
âI love it. Come here, Tesoro.â Melissa says as she bends down. Amelia runs to her and ambushes her in a hug. Melissa then grabs your hand and pulls you down into the hug. You then signal the rest of your kids to come over and they all run over and have one big group hug.Â
âMamma, Mommy, we have another surprise.â Caty announces and you all pull away from the hug.
âAnother one?â You ask and Amelia nods.Â
âWe have everything set up for you to renew your vows.â Amelia explains. You then start tearing up again and you notice Melissaâs eyes are watery but no tears fall.Â
âCome on everyone, letâs go take a seat.â Barb says and the kids run towards the chairs.Â
âI canât believe they did all of this for us.â Melissa tells you as you both stand up.Â
âI know. Iâm so proud of them.â You tell her as you lean a head on her shoulder.Â
âWhat do you say? Want to go promise to love each other forever again?â Melissa asks you.
âHm, thatâs such a big decision, Iâll have to think about it.â You tease and she laughs before she pokes you in the ribs. âHey!â You exclaim and she laughs more. âCome on, letâs go renew our vows.â You tell her with a soft smile. Melissa grabs your hand and then leads you down the aisle, to the small arch they made with streamers and taped to the fence. The both of you stand there and Melissa grabs both of your hands and looks at you.
âI guess Iâll go first.â She announces and then takes a deep breath as she looks at you. â14 years ago, after you got accepted to be Abbotâs newest teacher, I offered to let you come to my house and make you something special. When you got there, I couldnât wait any longer and I kissed you which got us to start dating. Then 3 years later, I knew I wanted to be with you forever so I made the decision to ask you to marry me. And since youâre as insane as I am, you said yes.â She says and you let out a small chuckle. âA year later, we got married and I was so full of love and nerves that day and as soon as I saw you, I knew I was making the right choice. Now here we are 10 years later and because of you, I have everything. A partner, a herd of little Schemmentiâs, both human and animal, and the best life I could ever dream of.âÂ
âMelissa, ever since you kissed me in the kitchen, we have been through so much together. Weâve had hard times, easy times, sad and happy times, and I donât regret a single moment. We match each otherâs chaos perfectly and weâre starting to see it was passed down to all of our kids. I know you donât always say the right thing or you react before you think, but everything you do, you do it because you love hard and deeply. Iâm proud that I get to call you my wife and Mamma of my children, I couldnât have asked for a better one.â You tell her and you see her trying to hold back tears as she sniffles. Melissa then cups both of your cheeks before she pulls you in for a kiss.Â
âDo we get cake now?â Nico then asks and you both pull away with a smile.Â
âMamma and Mommy have to cut the cake.â Amelia says and you and Melissa look at each other.Â
âLetâs go cut the cake then.â Melissa says as she extends her hand.Â
You happily accept it and she leads you to the table where the cake is. Melissa grabs the knife and you both hold it as you do a cut in the cake, and then a second cut. Melissa puts the slice onto a plate and grabs a fork. She gets a piece of the cake and then feeds it to you. After you grab the fork from her and get a piece for her and feed it to her. Then right after, because you couldnât resist, you grab the piece of cake and smear it across her mouth, chin and cheeks.
âFucking hell.â She says and you burst out laughing. She takes the piece of cake and stuffs it in your mouth. You hear everyone laughing as they watch the craziness unfold in front of them, even your kids are watching.
âMommy and Mamma are crazy.â Mia says.
Later that evening, you and Melissa finished putting the kids to bed after such an eventful day. When youâre both in bed together, you reach into the drawer of your nightstand and pull out a gift.
âWhatâs that?â Melissa asks.
âThe anniversary gift I got you.â You tell her and she takes it with a smile. She unwraps it and then opens the little box to reveal a diamond ring.
âYou got me a ring?â She asks.
âItâs a kind of simple engagement ring.â You admit and she furrows her eyebrows.
âAmore, weâve been married for 10 years, why would I need an engagement ring?âÂ
âBecause I realised I never got you one, so to celebrate 10 years together, I decided to get you one.â You explain and her features immediately soften.Â
âAnd I see you got one with your birthstone on it.âÂ
âWell I had to include myself somehow.â You say and she chuckles.Â
âWell I guess it pairs perfectly with what I got you.â Melissa says as she reaches into the nightstand and pulls out a gift. You unwrap it to reveal a velvet box and open it to reveal a necklace with a peridot gem in the shape of a heart.Â
âItâs beautiful, I love it.â You tell her and then pick it up. âPut it on me.â You command and she takes it from you as you turn around. You hold your hair up and she manages to put it on you quickly as she always puts necklaces on you. As soon as she manages to clip it on you, she places a kiss on your neck and you hum softly.
The next morning, youâre all eating breakfast and Caty is looking at Melissaâs hand and your neck. She tilts her head in question and then she looks at her food and then looks back at you both.
âMamma, did you get a new ring? And Mommy, is that a new necklace?â She asks and everyone immediately looks at Melissaâs hands and then your neck.
âIt is Dolcezza. Mommy got me an engagement ring with her birthstone on it. And I got her a necklace with my birthstone on it for our anniversary.â Melissa tells her.
âMommy, why did you get Mamma an engagement ring? Youâre already married.â Amelia asks.
âBecause I never got her one, figured it was time I did. You know, lock her down, make her an honest woman.â You tease and Melissaâs jaw drops and kicks your leg under the table as you laugh. âOw, that was my shin.â You complain.
âI donât get what you mean, Mommy.â Amelia says and all your kids are confused.
âYouâll understand when youâre older.â You tell her as Melissa is shaking her head with an amused smile.
âYa, youâre definitely not sane.â Melissa says.
âAnd you love it.â You counter and Melissa smiles softly.
âYa, I do.â She tells you and you wink at her to which she rolls her eyes.
*A week later*
âCaty, not that I mind you borrowing my heating pad again, but this is like the 10th time this month, and itâs the 11th.â You tell her as you plug in the heating pad and turn it on before you gently place it on her stomach. Caty is getting really bad stomach cramps and you always offer to give her your heating pad so they hurt less and help it pass.
âI know, I was confused as to why I was getting them so often and I think I figured it out.â Caty says and you both look at her. Caty is sitting on the loveseat right now and you sit beside her. Melissa is on the couch as Bella is brushing her hair to style it. âI think that dairy is giving me stomach pain, so I think I need to stop eating it.â She admits. Melissa whips her head at you which causes the brush to go with it and it hits her in the face. Melissa quickly grabs the brush and hands it to Bella.
âStellina, go play with your toys.â Melissa tells her. Bella notices the change and goes to play with her toys. You see that Amelia and Nico are watching as well. âDolcezza, I want to make sure I heard you right, did you say that dairy is causing you pain?â Melissa asks and Caty nods. âAre you positive? 100% sure?âÂ
âYes. Like Mommy said Iâve needed the heating pad almost every night these past 2 weeks. The only time I didnât was when we had nothing with dairy in it.â Caty explains. You then look at Melissa who seems to be in complete shock and processing it.
âNo, impossible, it has to be something else.â Melissa says in disbelief. âI think if we gave you some cheese then weâll all see that itâs not dairy.âÂ
âMelissa, come into the kitchen with me.â You tell her as you stand up. You see her not moving so you grab her arm. âMelissa. Now.â You say in your stern mom voice. That voice immediately gets her to move as your kids arenât the only ones afraid of that tone. You drag her into the kitchen and she immediately starts pacing.Â
âIt canât be true, dairy canât be the one causing her pain.â Melissa starts ranting. You just lean back against a counter and cross your arms as you just watch her rant. âIt has to be something else. Dairy is in almost everything I make! Mac and Cheese, lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, Cacio e Pepe, Chicken Parm, pizza!â She exclaims.Â
âYouâre right, a lot of things you make have dairy in it.â You say and Melissa runs a hand through her hair. âBut itâs causing physical pain for your daughter.â You add and she sighs. âWe just have to adjust and change some things, but you can still cook for all of us. That will never change.â
âYouâre right. And since itâs causing her pain, Iâll do anything to fix that.â She says and you walk towards her and wrap your arms around her waist. âTomorrow, weâll go to the grocery store and see what we can get that doesnât have dairy.â She adds. âIf we make her dairy free meals and sheâs still having pain then we add the dairy back in and figure out whatâs really causing this.âÂ
âFair enough.â You tell her and give her a kiss.
The next day, you all walk into the grocery store. You put the toddlers into the cart and the rest are walking beside you or Melissa. Melissa walks on autopilot to where you both usually go to but you grab the cart and redirect to an aisle sheâs never been to, the organic aisle. Melissa takes one long look at everything and immediately sees the difference.Â
âWhat fresh hell is this?â She asks.
âThis is the organic aisle, where thereâll be dairy free food.â You tell her. You look at Melissa and it looks like sheâs going through the 5 stages of grief right now just by looking at her face. You walk right up to her and turn her face to get her to look at Caty, a reminder of why sheâs doing this. Melissa sighs and then she starts walking down the aisle.Â
âIâm doing this for my kid, Iâm doing this for my kid.â She mutters. Itâs quiet enough that Caty doesnât hear it but you do as youâre right beside her. Caty and Amelia are up ahead, looking at all the different foods and ingredients. Melissa sees dairy free cheese and it immediately doesnât look right. She cautiously picks it up and looks at all the ingredients. âIâm out.â She immediately says as she puts it back and you run up to her and turn her back around to face the food.Â
âWeâre doing this so our daughter stops being in pain.â You remind her and she lets out a frustrated groan. You pick up the package of dairy free cheese she rejected and put it in the cart. Melissa picks up something else and reads the ingredients.Â
âWhat the hell? Thereâs dairy in this?â She complains. She puts the item back and starts to lightly bang her head on the cart handle. Youâre reading the ingredients on something and then add it to the cart, not even looking up or glancing at Melissa having a crisis in the grocery aisle. Bella then stands up in the cart and makes her way to the front and pats Melissaâs head.
âMamma better?â She asks when Melissa looks up at her.
âYa, Stellina, Iâm alright.â She says. Melissa grabs a loaf of bread thatâs right beside her and reads the ingredients. âWhy is there milk in bread?â She asks before she puts it back. She picks up something else thatâs a foot away. âWhat do you mean, may contain dairy? Pick a side already!âÂ
While sheâs freaking out, youâre calmly reading ingredients and then adding stuff to the cart. Caty, Amelia and Nico are off looking for dairy free snacks up ahead.Â
âLetâs see, thereâs oat and almond milk.â You say. âProbably should get both to see which one she prefers.â You add and then put them both in the cart. You then see Almond dark chocolate milk and smile. All your kids love chocolate milk so might as well get that to try as well.Â
The 3 kids come back, each with a handful of different snacks that are dairy free and they add them to the cart. Caty sees the diary free cheese and she picks it up. She feels it through the packaging and she grimaces.
âThat doesnât feel right.â She says.
âItâs cheese.â Melissa tells her.
âThat is not cheese.â Caty counters.Â
âItâs not, itâs literally a crime against humanity, but for us, itâll have to do.â Melissa tells her honestly.Â
âMamma, does this mean you wonât make us chocolate chip cookies anymore?â Nico asks and you all look at her.
âOf course I will. Itâll just be a little different as Iâll have to use dairy free substitutes instead.â She says and you all let out a breath of relief. Melissa then sees chocolate bars up ahead so she walks over to them and picks one up. âMilk chocolate.â She reads and immediately puts it back and picks up another one. âMilk chocolate.â She reads again. âMilk chocolate.â She says as she reads another one. âIs there any chocolate that doesnât have milk in it?âÂ
âDark chocolate doesnât.â You tell her.
âThatâs not chocolate, thatâs sadness disguised as chocolate.â She tells you.
âThis chocolate doesnât have dairy.â Caty points out and hands over the chocolate bar to Melissa and then she grabs another one.
âWhy are there over 30 ingredients in chocolate?â Melissa asks.
âI donât know. But none of them are dairy.â Caty bluntly says.Â
Melissa then sees dark chocolate beside her with all the different percentages on the packaging. She lets out a sigh before she grabs all of the different kinds and throws them in the cart. She then grabs the chocolate chip versions and throws them in the cart.Â
âPerdonami, Padre.â She mutters and you look at her with raised eyebrows.
âDid you just pray in Italian right now?â You ask her in disbelief and she nods. âYou just asked God to forgive you for putting dairy free stuff in the cart?âÂ
âYes. Iâm doing it no matter what so just let me do this to make me feel better about it.â She says. You think about it for a second before you nod.
âYouâre so dramatic and I love it.â You tell her and she huffs before she goes to check something else.
âIâm making this difficult arenât I?â You both hear and turn to see Caty looking at you.Â
âNo youâre not.â Melissa immediately says as she walks over to her. âWeâre just trying to adapt to this change.âÂ
âMamma, you went through the 5 stages of grief in the living room.â Amelia points out. You walk over to her and cover her mouth with your hand.Â
âOk, yes this is difficult for me, itâs because it changes everything I was taught, but Iâm willing to do this for you. And I donât want to hear you say another word about how itâs difficult or a problem. Capisce?â She says and Caty nods.
âCapisce.â Caty says and Melissa places a kiss on her forehead before she stands back up and continues looking at items.
At home, youâre cutting up some apples as Melissa looks at all the new ingredients. You donât say anything, just cut up about 6 apples and grab the new dips you got thatâs dairy free. You put all the apple slices on a plate and then bring the plate and the dips into the living room.
âOk, so thereâs 3 dips here, I want you all to tell me what you think.â You tell them. You open all the dips and then put them down. All the kids grab an apple slice and dip it in one of them before trying it. They all try all 3 and they nod.
âTheyâre good, I like them.â Amelia says.
âYa, theyâre not bad at all.â Nico agrees.
âYa, they donât taste like theyâre dairy free.â Caty comments.Â
âWhat about you two trouble makers? Do you like the dips?â You ask the toddlers and they nod. Both of them then grab another apple slice and dip it.Â
In the kitchen, Melissa puts away all the new ingredients and leaves out what she needs for dinner. She decides on making cacio e pepe as she can make it in her sleep. She does everything that she normally would but difficulty strikes when it comes to melting the cheese.
âHow is it not melted? It should have melted already.â She complains before she sticks it in the microwave. âActual cheese wouldnât betray me like this.â She takes it out of the microwave and it still hasnât melted, only slightly. Melissa stares at it in disbelief as itâs personally offending her right now. She places it back in the microwave and slams the door shut.
Youâre in the living room, watching a show with your kids. You then hear the microwave door slam shut and about a few minutes later you hear a shout.
âStronzate del cazzo!â You hear and you close your eyes and sigh.
âWhat did Mamma just shout?â Amelia asks.
âShe needs to add 2 quarters to the swear jar.â Is all you say as you get up and walk into the kitchen. âGood thing you swore in Italian.â You tell her and she looks at you.Â
âNothing is going right!â She complains. âThe cheese took several attempts to melt, itâs declaring war against me at this point. Then when it did melt, I poured it on the pasta and it didnât pour right. It got all clumpy and oily at the same time. Like if youâre not going to be poured right, at least pick if youâll be clumpy or oily.â She rants and you cross your arms.Â
âSo your first attempt didnât go right?â You conclude and she glares at you.
âI wonder what the fuck tipped you off.â She deadpans. She then turns back around and glares at the pasta, hands gripping the counter. You walk up behind her and hug her waist.
âDo you need some emotional support?â You ask her and she leans back into your touch.
âNo.â She says.
âAre you sure? Youâre literally fighting with cheese.âÂ
âIt started it by not melting properly.â She counters. She sees you go to reach for the food and slaps your hand away.
âOw! I was just going to taste it.â You tell her.
âNo, weâll all taste it together.â She concludes.Â
âIs dinner ready?â Nico yells.
âNO!â She shouts back. âI just have to try to fix it first.â She adds.
10 minutes later youâre all sitting at the dinner table and Melissa is putting the pasta on everyoneâs plate. You see Caty inspecting it, Nico bouncing in his seat at being able to eat and the other 3 arenât reacting at all, they just see food. When thereâs food on everyoneâs plate, you all put some on your fork and take a bite. Melissa looks at all of your reactions. She sees you all reacting weirdly.
âItâs not badâŠjust different.â You say.
âIt feels and tastes different.â Caty explains. âBut Mommy is right, itâs not bad.âÂ
Melissa sees you all eating it with interest and then she looks at the toddlers who are shoving it in their mouths with their hands. Melissa then takes a seat and tries a bite herself.
âIt tastes wrong.â She immediately says and puts her fork down.
âEat it anyway.â You tell her.
âNo.â She tells you with a pout and crosses her arms.
âIt doesnât taste bad, itâs just different so eat it.âÂ
âNo.â She says again, very similar to how Bella and Mia react.Â
âEat it.â You tell her with your stern mom voice. She flinches and immediately picks up her fork and puts some in her mouth.
âThis whole time I thought Mamma was in charge.â Amelia says. âBoy, was I wrong.âÂ
âZip it, you.â Melissa warns her.
An hour later, you have two glasses on the coffee table as you pour dairy free milk in them. Everyone watches as you pour the milk, looking at it to see if it looks real.
âNow this one is oat milk and this one is almond milk. I want all of you to try them.â You say and then put a third glass down. âAnd this is almond dark chocolate milk. I want to see if you like it.â You add.
Melissa then watches as each tries all 3, one by one and gives their opinion. It seems like 4 out of 5 prefer almond milk and Mia prefers oat milk. They all seemed to like the dairy free chocolate milk.
âAre we gonna have to convert to these changes permanently or can we have actual dairy once in a while?â Amelia asks.
âIâd like to know the answer as well.â Melissa says.
âIf it keeps your sister from being in pain, then this is what weâre doing. At family events you can have actual dairy there, itâll be in the meals they serve.â You explain.
âWhat about when we go back to school? In our lunches?â Nico asks.
âDairy free lunches.â You tell him and him and Amelia start complaining.Â
âThatâs enough!â Melissa says and it gets them to stop.
âWeâre doing this to support Caty and to show we love her.â
âMommy is right.â Melissa immediately adds. âNow tomorrow Iâm attempting dairy free pancakes and itâll be with the dairy free chocolate milk. Then in the evening Iâll attempt dairy free cookies.â Melisa explains. âWhy am I doing this? Because if it stops my daughter from being in pain then Iâll do it. And Iâll do the same for any of you.â Melissa tells them before she stands up and goes to the kitchen. You watch as all your kids donât say or love for a few seconds, theyâre processing everything Melissa just told them. After a few seconds Caty gets up and goes into the kitchen.Â
âMamma?â Caty says and Melissa turns around.
âHey Dolcezza, did you need something?â Melissa asks. Caty stands there for a couple of seconds before she walks towards Melissa and hugs her.
âI love you, Mamma.â Caty tells her. Melisa is frozen for a second before she wraps her arms around Caty and hugs her back.Â
âI love you too, Dolcezza, very much.â Melissa tells her and then Caty pulls back.Â
âYouâre doing so much for me and I know itâs going against a lot of what you were taught.â Caty says.
âAnd Iâll do it without complaint.âÂ
âI heard you declaring war on the fake cheese.âÂ
âOk, Iâll do it with some complaint. But the point is Iâll do it because I love you.â She says.Â
âThank you, Mamma.âÂ
âOf course, Dolcezza.â
The following morning, Melissa, Caty and Amelia are all looking at the finished pancake that has a slightly different colour. Amelia pokes at it with the spatula before Caty touches it with her finger.
âIt feels like an actual pancake.â Caty says.
âAnd smells like one too.â Amelia adds.
âBut it doesn't look like one.â Melissa counters. âMake another one.â She then says and Amelia pours more batter onto the pan.
30 minutes later everyone is sitting at the dinner table as Melissa sets the plate down with all the pancakes. The 3 of them must have made 30 pancakes. Everyone inspects the pancake on their plate, deciding if it passes the pancake test based on physical appearance. Everyone then takes a bite, chewing it slowly to see what itâs like. Nico then grabs the syrup and drowns it in syrup.
âIt actually tastes good.â Melissa says.
âYa, itâs slightly dry but quite good.â Caty agrees and you all agree with them.
âAnything can taste better with the right amount of syrup.â Nico then says.
âI respect that logic, kid.â Melissa tells him and he smiles proudly.Â
As usual the toddlers are picking up their cut up pancake pieces and shoving them into their mouth. They apparently got no time for forks when it comes to pancakes and pasta. Melissa then locks eyes with Caty and Caty smiles at her and Melissa canât help but smile back.Â
âMamma, Mommy, Annie is asking me if I want to sleepover at her house tomorrow night. Can I?â Amelia asks you both.Â
âWhat time?â Melissa asks.
â3pm- 12pm.â Amelia says and then Melissa looks at you and you nod.
âI suppose, but I want you to behave and listen to Annieâs parents.â Melissa tells her and Amelia smiles and nods.Â
3 hours later, Melissa puts 7 pieces of each dark chocolate percentage on the table. Each of you has to try it and give your honest opinion about which one is your favourite as sheâll be using it to bake chocolate goods.
âOk, so thereâs 60, 70, 80 and 90%.â Melissa says.Â
They all try the 60% first and think itâs good. They try the 70% next and they think the same thing. When they try the 80% they all said they donât like the bitter taste. When they tried the 90%, half of them spit it out because they couldnât handle it.
âOk, no higher than 70%.â Melissa types in her phone.
âWhen are we taste testing the cookies?â Nico asks as he walks up to Melissa.Â
âThis evening, Ometto.â
âNot now?â
âNo. Are you hungry now?â She asks him.Â
âIâm always hungry for cookies.â He tells her and she lets out a small chuckle and wraps her arms around him.Â
âI love that you have a bottomless pit when it comes to all things chocolate.â She tells him and he smiles.
That evening, her and Amelia are in the kitchen as they try to figure it out. They made ones with oat milk and others with almond milk. They also made a batch with dark chocolate chips.Â
âThis is fun, itâs like Iâm learning how to cook again.â Amelia tells her.
âYou and me both, Tesoro.â Melissa says.
After all 3 batches were made, Melissa places them all on 3 separate plates. Her and Amelia then bring them out to where everyone else was waiting to taste test. They place them all down and everyone looks at them,
âThey look like real cookies.â Caty says.
âWhy is only one made with chocolate?â Nico asks.
âBecause I want to know what people think of the milk I used without the addition of dark chocolate chips.â Melissa explains to him. âNow everyone taste the oat milk ones first.â She says.Â
After tasting all 3 cookies, the one that won, by no surprise, was the one with chocolate chips that Melissa used almond milk to make. Everyone but Mia liked the almond milk more so it seemed like a safe bet to use that twice. Everyone seemed to enjoy all 3 which is a good thing. She was also happy when Nico reached to take the last cookie.
âYou kids eat like I donât feed you 3 times a day.â Melissa tells them all.Â
âAnd you love that they eat whatever you make.â You say and she smiles at you.
âYa, I do.â
Later that evening, you were helping the toddlers brush their teeth when Amelia walks in to brush her teeth. Since the sink was occupied, Amelia just sat on the edge of the tub until they were done.Â
âNow make sure to get the back teeth.â You tell them both.
âMommy?â Amelia says.
âYa, sweetheart.â You say to her without looking up.
âWhatâs it like to go to an Eagles game?â She asks and you look at her before thinking about it.Â
âLast time I went was when I was pregnant with you, but itâs very crowded, you might get popcorn dumped on you and the crowd goes wild when they score a touchdown. Unless itâs the opposing team, because then the crowd just boos.â You explain. âWhy do you ask?â
âJust curious. I wonder what it would be like to go to a game with Mamma. Sheâs already loud when sheâs just watching it on tv, I couldnât imagine her at a game.â She tells you and you chuckle.
âSheâs even louder at a game.â You tell her. âAlright you two, now spit out the toothpaste.â You say and both of the toddlers spit it out and rinse before stepping off their stools. âSink is all yours.â You tell Amelia before stepping out with the twins.Â
Two days later, Melissa is in the shower while youâre in the bedroom. You pull out a notebook thatâs in your nightstand drawer and flip through it. You flip through 3 pages before you find what youâre looking for and smile. You then grab Melissaâs phone and scroll through her contact list. After getting the information, you join Melissa in the shower.
Later that afternoon, Melissa is in the kitchen while youâre watching a movie with all of the kids. You decide to show everyone some family classic movies that arenât animated. In the kitchen, Melissa is staring at the fake cheese like sheâs challenging it to a war.
âOk, I will not lose to cheese this time.â Melissa says. She made a meal last night that went better than the first attempt and she wants to get even better. She decided to make mac and cheese to see how that would be.
Half an hour later sheâs looking at the end result with a sigh. It turned out less clumpy but still not the best result.
A few days later itâs the toddlerâs birthday party. And to no oneâs surprise, they both wanted different themes. Bella wanted a pink princess theme and Mia wanted a soccer theme.Â
Melissa is taking the cake out of the fridge so Caty and Amelia can decorate it. They have pink, green and black frosting, and pink and white sprinkles. Amelia chooses to do the princess half, so she puts pink frosting and a bunch of sprinkles. Caty is doing the soccer half so she puts green frosting and does lines to look like a soccer field. Melissa is quite impressed with their cake decorating skills and approves the end result.Â
Melissa goes out into the backyard where thereâs pink, green and black streamers and balloons everywhere. Thereâs cones set up so the kids can play a soccer game and you got fake tiaras at the dollar store. You cautiously invited all the kids from the daycare that Mia and Bella spend all day playing with. Thereâs going to be 15 toddlers, as well as your 5 kids and Elena. Melissa sees you on the step ladder as youâre tying the piñatas to a tree.
âMamma! What do you think?â Bella asks her as she runs up to Melissa. Melissa got a fluffy pink princess dress for her and she also put on one of the tiaras.Â
âYou look like a princess.â Melissa tells her with a smile.Â
âMommy said Iâm Mammaâs little princess.â Bella says with a smile.Â
âYou definitely are.â Melissa says. Melissa then looks to see that Mia is in a simple shirt and shorts, dressed to play soccer, but sheâs also wearing a tiara.
âI made Mia wear a tiara, she looks pretty.â Bella tells her.
An hour later, all the toddlers have arrived with the parents and theyâre all running around the yard. Your 3 oldest kids seem to be sitting at the outside table, snacking, effectively sitting out of the chaos. Melissa is at the barbecue, grilling skewers, which was Ameliaâs idea. It was a pretty good idea as toddlers would love eating food off of a stick.
The toddlers are either playing their version of soccer with Mia and Elena, or theyâre doing some very curious painting with Bella. Youâre just talking with some parents as all the kids seem to be good.Â
You glance across the yard and look at Melissa grilling. Sheâs wearing a low cut short sleeve shirt, shorts and her hair up in a ponytail while working the grill. You wonât lie, she looks fucking hot. Melissa looks up, as she sensed she was being watched, and locks eyes with you. You decide to tease her a little bit so you start fanning yourself with your hand as you look at her. Melissa shakes her head with a smile as she gets back to grilling.
Amelia helps bring the skewers to the table when Melissa is finished and all the toddlers run to the food. They all grab a skewer and start eating off of it. Amelia managed to grab 3 skewers before the ambush and hands one to Nico and Caty.Â
âWas our third birthday this chaotic?â Nico asks.Â
âI donât remember.â Caty says.
âYes, it was.â Amelia tells them.
After all the toddlers are done eating their lunch, Melissa brings out the cake and something in a container. Everyone sings happy birthday to the toddler twins and they blow out the candles. They gasp as they see how the cake is decorated and immediately ask for a piece from their sides. You get to work on cutting the cake as Melissa hands the container to Caty.
âThis is a small, dairy free cake that I made for you.â Melissa tells her and Catyâs jaw drops.
âYou made a cake just for me?â Caty asks and Melissa nods.Â
âOf course I did, I wouldnât want you to skip cake.â Melissa says as she goes to help you pass out pieces of cake.Â
Caty opens the container and sees a small chocolate cake that could be about 5 normal sized pieces of cake. Caty gets a fork and starts eating it.
âCan I try a bite?â Amelia asks and Caty sees both Amelia and Nico looking. She takes another bite and slides the container over. Both Amelia and Nico take a bite before they pass it back to Caty. âMamma did a good job.âÂ
Melissa heard the compliment from Amelia and she smiles. She didnât want to make a big deal out of it but sheâs proud she was able to make something that was good for Caty.Â
You had to get a wet wipe out as both of your toddlers are covered in cake. Their hands were covered as they didnât use a fork and there was cake all over their faces. You cleaned them up and then you went on to open presents. They ended up getting distracted halfway through as they wanted to play with the new toys and you had to get them to keep opening more presents.Â
After presents, all the kids got excited to hit the piñatas. You all started with the princess one and Bella was up first. You handed her the bat and she got a good swing out of it. Mia got a good one as well.
âMy kids are good with a bat.â Melissa says with a smile.
âI should hope so, theyâre yours.â You tell her and she chuckles.Â
Your other 3 kids also got a chance with the piñatas as you didnât want them to feel left out or overlooked with all the toddlers there. Both piñatas broke and they all ran to get the candies at the same time.Â
2 hours later, all the toddlers were leaving as you were starting to clean up. Mia and Bella were paying attention to their new toys. Caty had a lollipop in her mouth, Amelia had a candy bracelet she was working on, and Nico was having another piece of the chocolate cake.
âSo what are we gonna do for Mammaâs birthday?â Amelia asks.
âI donât need anything.â Melissa immediately says.
âYou donât want a birthday party?â Caty asks.
âWith a cake?â Nico adds.
âA whole day reminding me how old I am? Hard pass.â She tells them.Â
âWe can have a small party, with just the kids and Elena.â You suggest and Melissa looks at you.
âFine. I donât mind that.â She settles on. âKids, make sure the cake is more or less finished, I want to be tempted as little as possible.â She adds and they all grab another piece.
A few days later, Melissa is coming in with the mail and sees your name written on one. It made her curious as itâs always both your names on everything. She leaves it on the counter while she opens everything else and throws out the advertisements. You come downstairs and she looks up.
âIt seems you got something.â She says and you look at the envelope.Â
âOh perfect, Iâve been waiting for this.â You say with a smile.
âWhat is it?â She casually asks.
âNothing for you to worry about.â You tell her as you grab it and start to go upstairs with it as she looks up.
âWell now I am worried about it!â She yells before youâre out of sight.Â
