They havent beein going at this very long but so far Morgan and Reid have both shown their hands. Each one has exposed their weakness like its life and death and it very well might be.
Their biggest weakness is each other.

Spencer is the first to wake up, looking around confused as to where they were and why. He starts analyzing the place, the smells, the sounds. Hes the first one they can approach. Spencer is also the first to realize their situation, the first to put himself on the chopping block in order to save the other, protect him the best he can. He would hate for Derek to wake up to pain. So he makes sure their attention is on him even as Derek begins to regain consciousness, a slew of falsities coming from his mouth about how incredibly valuable he is while Derek isnt. He hopes the other man understands.
He tells them that hes confused why they even grabbed Morgan as well, how worthless he is to their cause, how Spencer and his mind are the only things that can give them the answers they want. They focus on him.
And it works for a while, hes injured and coughing, blood dripping from his lip when those words come
“Hurt me instead”
He wants to look at Derek, assure him that he can take it but it hasnt been that long and he can hardly lift his head. The unsubs are more than happy to oblige. Spencer cant see due to position and blood dripping from a cut on his brow, but he can hear and after a few minutes he cant take it anymore and he’s begging, pleading with them to leave him alone, to work on him instead, pleading for mercy on Derek and punishment on himself.
