KERORO MOVIE 6 NEWS: New Keronian characters revealed at AnimeJapan 2026!

The AnimeJapan stage about the new movie has concluded, and with it came the reveal of this movie’s original Keronians! On the left is Aruru and on the right is Deruru (romanizations tentative). Director Fukuda has said that they are siblings, and opening theme artist ano mentioned they will have an important role in the story. They were also originally designed by Mine Yoshizaki. That’s all we really know about them so far!

(This was pretty much the only thing from the stage that we didn’t know already—the only other big announcement was the release date which leaked last week—but I’ll make a more comprehensive post on it later.)

Aruru and Deruru voice preview! Who can guess the voice actors?

A few hours ago, the Keroro Anime Twitter account posted a short clip previewing what Movie 6 original characters Aruru and Deruru sound like for the first time!

Instead of revealing the voice actors outright just yet, they’ve asked Twitter users to guess who’s playing them!

I don’t have any particularly confident guesses of my own, though I will say my initial prediction—which is that this is how Fukuda would sneak in Tsuyoshi Muro and Jiro Sato—seems to be incorrect, since I don’t think either of them have high enough voices to match Deruru. One common guess I’m seeing in the replies/quotes is that it’s Shohei Osada and Shun Matsuo of comedian duo Chocolate Planet (ChocoPura). I think it’s a good guess; movie original characters usually have guest VAs, having a comedian duo is very on brand for Keroro, and both have had voice acting credits before. Assuming Osada is able to get his speaking voice a bit lower, you can sorta hear it:

Deruru: Awright! I can’t wait! We’re finally gettin’ to check out Pekopon?

Aruru: Don’t get carried away. Just keep your cool and get the mission done.

Director Fukuda also gave it a quote tweet where he invites users to leave their guesses and says “Aruru is very cool, while Deruru is very funny and cute.” I think people guessed their personalities pretty well from their reveal artwork!

It hasn’t been said when the correct answers will be revealed, but based on what ano said a couple days ago, I believe it’ll be this week still, so they probably won’t leave this open-ended for long. Feel free to drop any guesses of your own as well!

They were born with a ability to use their eyes to zoom in/out when focus. they can be unfocus when they are really upset make them unable to see thing clearly.

Unfocus eyes is common thing for Deruru. While it's very rare thing for Daruru.

Second Lieutenant Deruru is know as Mint Maniac by the army, due to his explosive personality. He likely to get angry easily but he just hate when people touch his weapons that he's still working on. He rarely go out on public, always stay inside the lab he built unless the mission really need him in person. He's the one who make the sniper rifle and the wing that Daruru has been using.

First Lieutenant Daruru is known as Sky Conqueror by the public, due to he usually success the mission from the sky. like a falcon killing off their preys while being as sneaky as an owl. He's collected and reserved unlike his brother. He's quite a public figure, but he doesn't really like it. other than a sniper, he also work as an investigator from time to time. He has 100% shooting accuracy.

Both of them don't have platoon yet. but they usually work together as a team. sometimes other Keronian soldiers join them on the mission too.
