My recreation of Duro/New Tayana using graphics on Canva (which I pay for) and imagery from Star Wars media.

This is Cad Bane's home. I plan to use this as a banner for my upcoming long fic. Duro had a single orange star for its sun, and the smog I added for effect, as the planet is nearly inhospitable to life and highly polluted.

The nearby satellite/waystation is the floating city of New Tayana itself, which Bane lived in an area that was labeled the Descent Ghetto; he was not at all fond of it.

Young Cad has a run-in with Bleak and his group of bounty hunters... Bleak is a piece of bantha crap for picking on a kid, but Cad learns a few things from the experience.

I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY I'M SORRY!!!!! QAQ I'm a horrible author for doing this, but it was necessary. And let's be honest, Cad grew up in a literal space ghetto (The Descent Ghetto on New Teyana). There's no way he didn't have a rough childhood. T.T An illustration for my fanfic "Figment". Read "Figment" on A03. <-click *Note: the small green spots on his ribs are not wounds, those are oil sacs. Duros have these oil sacs which secret a foul smelling odor and act as an irritant. It acts as a defense mechanism against larger predators, an "evolutionary throwback" against larger predators on ancient planet Duro. I have as a head canon that these sacs serve a secondary purpose, but to have these sacs exposed in either purpose is seen as indecent to proper Duros society. ***EDIT: I uploaded a follow up scene illustration, after Cad's friend Soopan finds him in the alley. Context: Young Cad had just had a run-in with Bleak and his Bounty Hunters. It didn't go well, but at least he was able to smart his way out of death. There is also a colored illustration depicting Cad vs Bleak.

Cad vs Bleak: <- click Soopan is Cad Bane's childhood best friend. This is still canon, I believe. I wrote Soopan to be a real sweetheart as a kid. :( *** EDIT: Chapter 3 is out now!

Cad Bane's subconscious barricades itself in a childhood memory, back to another time when he was equally helpless. It was a time he had tried to forget. Lots of feels in this one.
