Descon Engineering Services & Technology has thus designed the Portable Block Foundation for Reciprocating Compressor Machine in place of Cast-in-Situ technique for United Energy Pakistan (UEP). With this out-of-the-box approach, there will be substantial benefits in terms of major cost reduction, time optimization, and mitigating environmental hazards. The success of this project will open windows for using this modular technology in future construction projects across the country, and beyond.
A project of Sindh Irrigation Department and sponsored by the World Bank, Descon was awarded the contract of replacing 65 Barrage Gates over a length of about 4500 feet and 25 Canal Gates at 03 Canal Head Regulators. The barrage’s foundation was laid down by Iskandar Mirza and inaugurated by Field Marshal Ayub Khan in 1962. The structure has been exposed to much damage and corrosion over these 60 years and hence required maintenance and replacement of all the gates, which are used to control water flow in the River Indus as well as Canals for irrigation and flood control purposes.

Descon Wins Internal Inspection of Static Equipment Project from ADNOC Gas Processing
Descon Engineering bags another contract from ADNOC Gas Processing for Long Term Service Agreement - internal inspection of static equipment (Non-Shutdown Items) 2021- 2023. The scope of work entails carrying out a complete internal inspection of non-shutdown related static equipment, small tanks, various type of shell & tube heat exchangers, steam boilers, different types of filters, etc. operating in Ruwais NGL Plant and Ruwais Sulphur Plant (Area 5). The total duration of the maintenance activities is for an extended period of 3 years (2021 - 2023). Descon has maintained a strong market share in its overseas geographies for Industrial Services and this project adds to that portfolio in UAE.
