More 1999 desert look...the search continues. The top image is a detail from the page from Y&M Magazine (October 1999) that I literally used to keep folded up in my handbag. I drew pictures of this look when I was a teenager.

I found the exact XOXO vest (originally $120) and put in a bid for it for $31 including shipping. I have spent an undisclosed amount of time looking for the striped shirt from Intensity (originally $110) but I've been unsuccessful and have only found one other piece from the Intensity brand that is not the more recent athletic brand (see second picture). I had a hunt round for a leather skirt ($65, bought from Cheap Jack’s Vintage Clothing - original brand not listed) but can't seem to find the exact one. I did find many beautiful comparable skirts though so I might buy one this year. I could get some Uggs maybe but I don't know that I'd spend $130 on them. I also didn't bother searching for the Anata necklace (list $52) for more than five minutes but it looks like it's made of cloth. Not sure. I might see if I can make it myself. And I can't find the UFO goggles but I already have some neat goggles from when I was a teenager if I wanted to adhere to desert chic.
