South considering Donut and Tucker as her first friends in my South lives AU is also the reason she really joins the reds and blues because after the desert and sidewinder South has no real reason to stay she’s avenged her brother and the fake CT is dead but Tucker asks her to stay to keep an eye on Wash and she can’t say no to her friend also she wants to protect him because she thinks her only other friend is dead.

In my South lives AU South’s closest relationships are actually Donut and Tucker, Donut because they’re both red team and he’s so accepting of her and she finds his innuendoes hilarious and Tucker because they spent time together in the desert and in the New Republic when the groups got split up. These relationships are super important to South because before them she probably felt like all her friendships were actually North’s friends who tolerated her because he was the more ‘likeable’ twin so imagine South thinking of Donut and Tucker as her first real friends.

Also, imagine how much it hurt South felt when she thought her old teammate had shot and killed her first real friend.
