We’re pretty far behind on our music shares due to a bevy of reasons, including of all things, an undependable internet connection here in the office this week. Though we tried not to add more songs to our growing list of features to post, our encounter with Thayer Sarrano quickly convinced us that we couldn’t delay sharing her new single I Will Never Be Used To Your Beauty. The singer songwriter from Athens, Georgia takes us into her “southern-psych dreamland” with her smoky ethereal desert-rock hymnal, inspired by her eclectic background. Thayer Serrano was raised in a seminary, then in the coastal swamplands of South Georgia, where she was trained classically in both music and poetry. I Will Never Be Used To Your Beauty is a surging crescendo of elaborate guitars and drums. It builds with a pressing urgency, rising with life. The song will be out on 7 inch vinyl this Friday, alongside a hardcover book filled with handmade original drawings and lyrics. Pre-order, here.
