Ford by Gary Hamilton Via Flickr: Ford Golden Jubilee (1903-1953). I can't imagine it ever being used on the farm. Desertmartin Parish Church Garden Fete & Vintage Rally 2025.

St Martin's Eve | 10 November
St Martin of Tours (France) was much venerated in Ireland, mainly on account of his connection with St Patrick. He was Patrick’s tutor, and according to some, he was his uncle and had a hand in sending him to Ireland. St Martin was a Roman soldier who was baptised as an adult and became a bishop in a French town. The most famous legend concerning him was that he had once cut his cloak in half to…

Honda Super Sport 400 Four by Gary Hamilton Via Flickr: Parked up beside a Matchless and Velocette, it's hard to think of these as classic motorcycles, I guess I'm just getting old. I always liked the four into one exhaust. Desertmartin Parish Church Garden Fete & Vintage Rally 2025.
Matchless by Gary Hamilton Via Flickr: Amongst the classic cars, tractors and stationary engines there was a small collection of bikes including this 250 cc Matchless G2 dating from 1959. A nice restoration. Desertmartin Parish Church Garden Fete & Vintage Rally 2025.
Morris Minor by Gary Hamilton Via Flickr: A classic Moggy from 1969, I love the exhaust note of the Minor. Desertmartin Parish Church Garden Fete & Vintage Rally 2025.
Morris Major by Gary Hamilton Via Flickr: From the simplicity of the Minor to the extremely over engineered Morris Major from 1931 including the incredibly complicated indicators which there thankfully phased out. A beautiful restoration, the attention to detail, particularly in the engine bay, was incredible. Desertmartin Parish Church Garden Fete & Vintage Rally 2025.
Singer Chamois by Gary Hamilton Via Flickr: The Hillman Imp's cooler, sportier cousin would be destined to become the last vehicle to carry the Singer badge. Singer were absorbed into the Rootes group in 1955 which then launched the Hillman Imp in 1964 as a competitor to the successful Mini. In terms of specification it was miles ahead of the Mini but early teething problems made the public unwilling to chance buying them. This rally specification 1967 Chamois in Oxford blue was a beautiful example of the long lost marque. Desertmartin Parish Church Garden Fete & Vintage Rally 2025.
