It wasn’t uncommon to see travelers in the desert. Ever since wild pokémon started appearing in Orre again, it seemed like tourism was on a slow, but steady, increase. In this case, as he was keeping watch over the small oasis when he noticed another person standing near the water’s edge. Not wanting to disturb the wildlife he was unwilling to shout at her from a distance, and instead made an approach, only announcing himself by clearing his throat when he was a few feet from her.
"Huh? Mm, I see." This is as much acknowledging that Glenn would give to the other’s fright, before he returned to his own train of thought. With a hand planted on his hip, he swiftly cocked his head to a small burrow rather close to where the two were standing. A few small sets of eyes were just barely visible from this angle from within the tunnel.
“You’ll spook the surskit. Or annoy them. They’ll bubble beam you into the water if you’re not careful.”
“Oops... sorry!” She waves her hands apologetically before her. “I wasn’t trying to bother them. Sorry, little guys!” She takes a few careful steps away from the Surskit burrow, then shifts her attention back to the watering hole.
She wrings her hands anxiously, her touch lingering on her right index finger. “I... accidentally dropped something in the water. I was just trying to see if I could make it out from the edge but it’s probably in the deeper water by now,” she sighs glumly.
Her mother’s ring was just a bit loose on her... she should never have worn it without getting it resized.
