"Happy Birthday, Sid," Norman held out a small gift towards Sidney, rather shyly, while wearing a sheepish smile on his face. "I got this custom-made for you, so I hope that you like it." Inside was a leather jacket that rather than buying... he wanted to show Sidney how much he meant to him.

Leaning over and kissing him on the lips. "... I hope this day is a good one for you."

Sidney Day 2026 (but a little late)

Sidney took a good look at the gift that had been given to him. It wasn't just any leather jacket- the unique design, with a big Absol shape on the back, the metal studs on the shoulders forming a nice contrast, the use of his signature black and red contrast, all of it showed that it had been custom-made just for him.

Instead of accepting the gift right away, Sidney wrapped his arms around Norman and lifted the other man up with ease, bringing him closer to kiss him on the lips. As he looked at his boyfriend's flustered expression, he had his signature smirk on his face, but with a faint blush if one looked closely.

“What am I gonna do with you when you're this cute, Norman?”

"Yo, Sidney." Volkner waved rather lazily with a two-finger wave and strolled over and tossed him a small gift. "Happy Birthday, got you a little something. Enjoy, and don't cause too much trouble for old Norman. Or maybe do, it's your day."

Sidney Day 2026 (a little late because a bitch had work)

As Sidney opened the mysterious box to take a look at its contents, he saw… a machine.

A very peculiar, very interesting machine. One that was perfect for causing some trouble to Norman. He looked at that mysterious item with a puzzled expression, blinked twice as he stared at it blankly for a moment, and then turned his attention back to Volkner with a mischievous grin as he put two and two together.

“Oh, I think I'm gonna cause him some trouble alright. Thanks for the gift!” With a malicious cackle, Sidney went to test the mystery machine in order to torment Norman with it later on.

There's a package in the mail for Sidney from Mossdeep Gym. Inside is a neck fan, with a note that says "So your birthday's in the summer, huh? Stay cool!" (I'm too lazy to sign onto routeone, so pretend it's from there)

All the way on the other side of the region, in Fallarbor, a box arrived at the mail labeled as a birthday gift.

Really? From the Mossdeep Gym? What did they get for him? He was surprised to find out that they knew his address, but then again since they worked together for years in the Hoenn League it was pretty easy to deduce that they just asked one of their many mutual acquaintances.

As he opened the box, what he found inside was… a neck fan.

Fallarbor, in the middle of summer, was incredibly hot. Sidney had a large oscillating fan turned towards him at that very moment, with his Shiftry in a nearby room using Icy Wind to cool down the place.

“Nice and practical! They know what I like after all.” And with that, he was going to put that fan to the test immediately.

Okay, Cesario had hit Leaf in the face when she tried to throw the football to her earlier, so she resolved not to make that mistake again.

Instead, she spun around and held the ball out, running straight at May. The goal, of course, was for May to take the ball and start running forward. So it would have been great if that were verbally communicated. So really, what we had here was a 20 mph-object moving straight for May's torso.

The ball starts flying at dangerous speeds towards May, who's not paying attention at all because she was never told to, landing a direct hit before she even gets to realize what's happening…

Only to harmlessly bounce off her abs and get sent flying back where it came from, barely losing any speed and momentum.
