His knocks on her door has been incessant, striving for the moment she would open it and he would find calm in her beautiful eyes even if for most part of the time they carried a different tone, as tempestuous as undertow, drowning him in. Once the door was opened he stood there for a brief second calculating his excetions, losing himself on her before he finally decided to step inside of her house. “I’m going to do something bad,” the words came without any effort. He was there for this reason, why should he try to walk on eggshells when sooner or later she would find out about everything? “I can’t hide this for any longer. I know that telling the truth could get us both in trouble and I would never try to hurt you, not after everything we’ve been through. But if anyone should pay for this, it shouldn’t be someone innocent. That man... he did nothing and he’s the one who’ll pay for what we did and... and I can’t sleep. I’ve been up for countless hours and when my body does try to rest, I’m haunted by memories. It’s our fault. These lies won’t help us, someone will find out eventually.” He couldn’t stop talking, the wrods were constantly coming out until his lungs begged for air, as the words became weak with the lack of it.

Moving himself close to her, Joseph cupped her face. Shhe had been through a lot and none of them had asked for what had happened that night. “I don’t know what’s going to be from my future, but you deserve a good future.” He tried to sound convincent through his words, because his body language would tell otherwise, he was shaking, his eyes couldn’t focus for a long time at the same thing, his heart was racing and staring at her for longer tan a few seconds became painful. It hadn’t been easy to take this decision, but deep down he tried to assure himself that it had been the only reasonable one, even if his life would definitely become hell. Maybe he deserve to go through it. 

“Keep those words with you...” holding her hand, noticing how cold he was once her skin was constracting with his with a warm temperature. “I love you. You’re probably confused but of all the things I’m saying right now, this is the one you should be more certain of. I don’t know how it happened, but I do love you. Despite the circumstances, I’m glad I could get to know you and fall for you And it’s because of it that I know you should be happy and keep living your life, accomplishing your dreams and making your dad proud.” Leaning closer he tasted her lips against his for a brief second, trying to keep that taste on his memory before he let go of her. “This is a goodbye, but I’m hoping it could become a see you soon.” He shouldn’t allow her to try to make him stay, so he moved outside of her door with quick steps. Taking his phone to explain to her what he had meant with everything he had said. I’ll tell the cops I did it.
