We all deserve to love ourselves, right? Like to truly be in love with who we are as a person. To love every aspect of your physical appearance. To love all your unstable and emotional state of mind moments. To love the way you hold yourself. To love the things you love. We all deserve this type of love from OURSELVES. So why don’t we all love ourselves in this way then? Why do we feel like it is wrong to do so? Nobody deserves this type of love from you. Not a single soul, so give it to yourself. Love your own goddamn self.
Love the way your eyes crinkle at the edges when you smile. Love the way your smile isn’t symmetrical. Love the way you scrunch your nose when asking a question. Love the way your ears sometimes stick out from behind your hair. Love your curves on your body. Love how big your thighs are. Love how you look in your favorite clothes. Love the way you paint your fingers rather than just your nails. Love the fact that you barely even have nails because you bite them so often. Love the mole behind your right ear and between your fingers. Love your weird birthmark on your inner thigh. Love the way you jam out in the car, even though nobody is around. Love the way you dance in your underwear, just because. Love the way you use your phone as a microphone. Love the way you look without make-up on. Love the way your hair falls after waking up. Love the way you flip your hair when trying to work. Love how you smile at anyone, no matter who they are. Love the way you read all the time. Love the way your eyes look when the light hits them.
Love everything about yourself.
You deserve all this love, but you aren’t even giving it to yourself. You think you don’t deserve it, but baby, you do. You deserve all the love in the world, half of which should be from yourself. Love and love and never stop loving.
When you’re feeling down, love yourself. You’ll always have yourself. When you think everything is at the end, love yourself. You have yourself. When you think you can’t go on without someone, just know, nobody could ever love you more than you love yourself.
Take yourself out to eat. Walk around downtown by yourself. Go get ice cream by yourself. Visit museums and cemeteries by yourself. Drive along a road for miles upon miles by yourself. Do it all by yourself. Fall in love with YOURSELF.
Because at the end of the day, all you have is yourself, so let’s hope you love who you are, or that’s going to be one miserable ending.
Love yourself. You are who you have at all times. Be the one thing you fall in love with. Always be content with yourself.
But please, baby, please, love yourself more than you love anyone or anything else. You deserve it.
