Auntie: tobah tobah tum bachon ko tameez kisi ne nahi sikhai? Baron se isse bat karte hain? (Has no one taught you kids respect? Is this how you speak with your adults?)

The desi experience of coming out of the bathroom after just getting out of the shower, obliviously towel-drying your hair, and finding your entire extended family in the living room 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. like literally how i was gone for 20 minutes to shampoo 😅😅😅

Some men in the Desi and Arab world be like “look at these smart open-minded Western women, they’re not boring like our girls at home” but then turn to the girls at home and be like “if you dress/act like one of those Westerners, I’m going to ground you/break your legs/hit you”.
