im gonna say it now but just because a thing looks a lot like another and may indeed look like a ripoff, closed species themselves are not original enough to be ‘ripped off’ of. they are often bipedal furry things with very common traits. just because something had horns and a curled tail does not make it a cham. just because something had a built-in fur hood does not make it an impim.

species are not original to be ripped off of and most look like another that comparing them does more harm than good i.e. insectoplants/terraliens/chimereons, gastrosnaps and leechmonsters, cccats and jellocats, etc. etc. etc.
