Its an art book filled with fresh and diverse concept design.  There are so many inspirational artists in this book, I can’t wait to get my own copy. You have to check it out, its that good. Hey everyone! I'm excited to say I'll be part of the Design Unscripted 2 project! It's a book featuring artwork from students and alumni of Ringling College of Art & Design. Recently, I was interviewed for the project, and I thought you guys might like to see it (along with some artwork I haven’t posted here, haha).

One of my missions with this tumblr is to help artists get a foot in the door. Help them make a career out of what they love. Give them a boost in notoriety to boost them along their way.

A kickstarter came to my attention that is doing just that. Some amazing students have collaborated with professional artists to create a wondrous book full of character designs, prop designs, environments, vehicles, weapons, storyboards, and color-scripts. It will get them noticed in the industry and give them a huge running start.

All they need is a little help from you. Any amount would be awesome, but if you contribute enough, you will get a copy of the book.

The rewards get better from there.

For young artists, I think it will be an amazing resource to help you get started on your journey. For old pros, it will probably make you jealous that these young kids are so talented. Either way this is a beautiful book and a must have. 

So please help these artists. They are very close to their goal and I think with your help they can reach it.

What Is Design Unscripted?

Over 25 artists from Ringling College of Art and Design (students and alumni) have collaborated their imagination and talent in order to bring you a 100 page, hardcover edition of Design Unscripted! The book’s aim is to help launch the careers of aspiring Visual Development Artists by showcasing their work alongside Ringling alumni who have become seasoned professionals. This art-book will give you access into the creative process and contains original ideas for many never before seen character and prop designs as well as environments, vehicles, storyboards and color-scripts from these emerging artists! Many of Ringling College’s alumni go on to careers with Pixar, Disney, DreamWorks, Blue Sky, and Moonbot. We expect great things for the artists involved in this project! There will only be one print run of this book…this is a rare opportunity to not only invest in the careers of these up-and-coming artists, but also to get a limited edition copy of this book.
