Flynn had been monitoring the Grid from his terminal at the Arcade. While he didn't like monitoring from the outside, this was a time when he had to. He had made a promise to Jordan that he wouldn't miss their son's first birthday. Yeah, he had missed the birth of his son as well as Jordan's first ultrasound. There was no way he was getting out of the birthday party. If he had tried anything, he knew that he would be in trouble with his wife. Probably more trouble than he had ever been in before, including the time that he had tracked motor oil into the house.
He had left for the Arcade again shortly after Alan and Lora had left. Some part of him hated leaving his family like that, but he had noticed something strange on the Grid the last time he monitored activity. Unfortunately, he couldn't tell what was going on from his terminal alone.
He typed in the correct commands as soon as he got to his terminal and hesitated for a minute before he activated the digitization ray. Yeah, he had told Jordan and Sam that he loved them both. Flynn took a short breath before he activated the digitization ray. Varying shades of blue and gray overtook his vision as he was transported to the Grid.
Flynn quickly looked around before he headed to the transport that would take him to his point of arrival. Tron had always met him there, so he knew this time wouldn't be any different.
Something was going on and he needed to find out what.
