NEW Umbrella Bird Ring (link on bio) The #DesignShuffler challenged me to: in 2 hrs create an #umbrellabird inspired #bottleopener #ring using #tolerances. First off I had NEVER heard of an umbrella bird. They are these odd birds in South America who have strange hoods, HUGE waddles, and sound like a #diggerydoo The umbrella hood i used for the top bottle popper leverage and their extremely long waddle acted as the ring. I've tested the #3dprint with #PLA #resin and #carbonPLA but none would withstand the strength to pop open a bottle. Im ordering one in steel that I think will be able to successfully open a bottle. Definitely the strangest design challenge to date.
