Phase 1
PROJECT 3.2 THE MACINE : a machine that will transform the code into a building model
Mechanism
You should present the mechanism itself. Depending on its nature you might require different equipment.
Samples
You should produce a minimum of 5 samples produced with the mechanism in order to prove how it works. Each sample should be sufficient documentation by itself to communicate an architectural design.
Manual
You should produce a set of documents which illustrate how to use the mechanism, which are the steps to follow, which are the adequate settings, best practices and how to read results. In addition to operational instructions a complete set of drawings showing how the device is built (physically or digitally) should be produced. These drawings should be clear enough for anyone else to be able to build the machine. Summarizing and collapsing information into as few drawings as possible would make understanding easier and faster. The manual should be presented in 2 mediums: (1.) which is digital (can be a slideshow, video, gif, etc.) and (2.) a set of of physical drawings to be pinned up on the wall.
Prototypes, precedents and copies
You should compile the referenced projects by the architect that you produced in order to design the mechanism, any additional studies of precedents for your device and any study models, prototypes or tests and bring them in for presentation.

FULL PRESENTATION > CLICK HERE <
-Dossier
An A3 dossier including information which has been research, gathered, re-drawn and re-modeled. Only original content can be presented in the dossier. It should be ordered and marked so that information can easily be found in it if requested during the presentation.
-Matrix
An A3 document as a matrix to track their Architect’s projects and their key properties or characteristics that will help understand patterns in their practice. Which operations of the Architect are methodological and codal vs ones that are exceptions, inconsistencies or outliers.
-Presentation
You should prepare a 3 minute digital presentation (aspect ratio 4:3) which could be a slideshow, video or a combination of both.
