' TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS ‘. cherried lips bitten vermillion by both gnawing teeth and a harsh bull-headed winter, wish to spit other wise; to swear that time does nothing but make the wound worse. standing next to peter, though, only two weeks after the funeral, has harley keener finding that he has nothing to say for once in his life. well of quick wit found dried, pit filled with sarcasm all but emptied in favor for mourning. a father. gone. " it isn’t the same, is it? “ / @desolae
power but she's jumping on denji's head to wake him up <3
" H E Y ! knock it off ! " is sleep too much for a man to ask for ? with his presence's growing demand he needs all he can get. and he was having such a good dream ! no thanks to power. miss makima was being so nice, she even let him have a bite of her curry udon... he grumbles, shoving away her foot and rolls over, trying to reform whatever heaven he was in while dreaming. " go bug aki, would'ja ! "
50. Create your own! For all three, what subjectively BAD experience would they voluntarily repeat, and why?
Parhelia - Maybe this is the easy way out of answering this question for her, but it would be being raised as a Death Knight. If she could just avoid dying completely then that would be great, but if that was going to happen regardless… she would repeat being raised. The process itself and the first several years were pretty bad, even if it turned her into a new person that could handle and even revel in it. And while she did a lot of bad things that she would rather not have happened… she now has an infinite number of years to do better things, and enjoy what’s really a better life than she had even when she was alive.
Xorel’yn - Inheriting her father’s demon. It was an awful experience and it came with the knowledge that her father had just died. And though she hasn’t been able to do much with it yet, it’s still important to her that she’s carrying on part of a family legacy, even if she suffered for it.
Desolae - This one was hard to figure out, and I don’t think there IS a good answer for Des. There’s lots of bad shit she would do again like her whole thing with Red and the messy family shit that lead to that, but that’s because she doesn’t consider the situations themselves bad/’at fault’, and they were/are a formative part of her life that she isn’t willing to give up. Better the devil you know. She’s also sure that they seemed bad only because she didn’t have her head in the right place, so she might WANT to redo them to try to tough it out ‘better’.
EDIT: Of course the moment I post this, I think of a great answer for Des! When she went through the Dark Portal and hunted down her House and family members that had betrayed her and Xo by siding with Kael’thas. Her reasons for it were bad, she was in a bad place mentally, and the whole experience just made it worse. But it was her duty to cull the traitors and she would do it again in a heartbeat.
Your muses as news articles: Xo: "Local Woman Gets Out of Bed, Immediately Regrets it." Des: "Want a Direwolf From Game of Thrones? TRY USING THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK. DOG BREEDERS HATE HER." Par: "Suspect in Sudden Australia Continental Blizzard Still At Large Ayers' Rock Covered in Snow; President Trump to Australians: 'Global Warming HOAX. Goofy Gore Lied!"
20. Do they consider themselves unloveable?
Desolae has a weird opinion of the whole concept of love, but 99% yes. She would probably say something like, “I know I’m a hard person to love,” but that’s downplaying it so it sounds like there’s a valid excuse for it. She’s sort of just given up on love and compensates by focusing on things she can define and judge more concretely like trust.
"You are one in from the plank, don't make me push you."
Desolae looks to her left, where the Sea Bitch is anchored at port legally and everything. "You're putting a Plank on her?"
"...'s an expression."
"Oh, oh, can we put a pirate plank on her, pretty please? And tie the bad guys up and make them Walk The Plank?" She's bouncing up and down on her toes.
"Fuckin'... not mah call. Ask Jaen."
"JAEN! HEY JAEN, D'YA GOT AN EXTRA CHUNK OF WOOD?"
"Stop hollerin! Walk o'er there an' ask 'im yerself, uhg, elves..."
