King Lear Act 3: Scenes 1–3
In Shakespeare's King Lear, Act 3, Scene 2 depicts the king, Lear, and his Fool raging on a desolate heath during a terrible storm, a scene mirroring Lear's inner turmoil after being cast out by his ungrateful daughters; the Fool tries to persuade Lear to seek shelter, but Lear, descending into madness, challenges the elements to punish his daughters, until Kent (disguised) finds them and leads the king to a hovel, where the Fool delivers a prophetic speech about Britain's coming chaos.
