Getting your friends and family these minion cupcakes is a fun and unique idea. They're great for parties with a theme or just as a fun dessert. These cute treats are great for both kids and adults.
Ingredients: 1 box yellow cake mix. 3 eggs. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1 cup water. Blue and yellow food coloring. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 4 cups powdered sugar. 2-3 tablespoons milk. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Black decorating gel. Edible candy eyes. Mini chocolate chips.
Instructions: Warm up your oven to 350F 175C and put cupcake liners in a muffin tin. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, water, and yellow cake mix to a mixing bowl. Mix everything together well. Get two bowls and split the cake batter in half. Separate the food into two bowls and color one blue and the other yellow. Mix until the minion colors you want are reached. Put about half of the blue batter into each cupcake liner. Then, add a little yellow batter on top to make the minion's overalls. Bake in an oven that has been heated up for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in a cupcake comes out clean. Get the frosting ready while the cupcakes cool down. In a different bowl, beat the butter until it is smooth. Mix in the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract one tablespoon at a time until the frosting is fluffy and smooth. Put some frosting in each of the two bowls. One bowl should be blue, and the other should be yellow, to match the colors of the minion cupcakes. Once the cupcakes are cool, frost them with the blue frosting, leaving a small hole in the middle for the minion's face. To make the minion's eyes, use the black decorating gel to circle the middle of each cupcake. Just above the goggles, put edible candy eyes on the frosting. Add a few mini chocolate chips to the minion's mouth to finish off his face. This will make him look either happy or sly. Let the frosting dry, and then enjoy your cute cupcakes with minion faces on them.
