I don't know.

I guess I have the same problem with him naming the Doctor as I do with him disregarding ACD's decision regarding Sherlock's sexuality. He's doing all of the wrong things with someone else's work and making assumptions about what they wanted done with it. I don't know though, maybe that's just my interpretation. 

Also there's the fact that I harbour unbridled rage towards Steven Moffat and almost everything he does.

(But then he also said, Moffat said that the Doctor's name couldn't be revealed. Couldn't. A+ consistency.)

I don't actually believe anyone has the right to name the Doctor except possibly the person who originally created him.

Plus, SM is an entitled asshole who thinks the world belongs to him and does a lot of really problematic shit so there's that too.
