─「☬」─  “ i can’t remember the last time i was making a wish to a shooting star. probably when i was a child. ” it was a mention of ( nostalgic memories ), something that she didn’t think the KING OF HEROES would believe. he wasn’t that type, after all, to put his hope on something as fickle as a SINGLE STREAK across the sky and - disappearing - as quickly as it came. the ( warmth ) of his arms around her a constant reminder that he was still here. after everything they - went - through, they have arrived at a STANDSTILL of time, a - single - night before the cruel reality would clash upon them come morning.

              “ but right now... i... don’t know what i could believe in anymore. ” her words quivered in slight, though her hands that upon her ( arms ) couldn’t help but tighten their grip on him. like he was the ONLY THING that made sense in this whole - war -. the only thing for her to hold onto, the only thing that was real. “ other than you, i don’t know what else is real. ” lips thinned, though she knew that the time of judgement was going to come, the FINAL BATTLE will be upon them. she never doubt him. if anything, he was the SOLE PURPOSE she still believed ( victory ) was in their reach.

his inquiry, his - words - that came as to WHAT she had wished upon the shooting star made her turn her GAZE to him, eyes of ( ocean ) meeting those impossibly gentle crimson orbs that he possessed. the way he - looked - at her made her feel like she had THE WORLD in the palm of her hand.

              “ i probably wished for something you told me not to. ” the MAGUS didn’t want to lie to him, and though she ( knew ) he deemed it foolish for her to wish for more time with him AFTER the war, her heart wouldn’t listen and she could feel her eyes ( burning ) in slight. it’s difficult despite knowing she - shouldn’t -.

                 but god... she loves him so much she was willing to trade the world itself for one minute longer with him.

              “ would you be mad at me if that was the case ? ”

   Her arm had been lowered, the use of serving as a shield to keep the luminescent light out of her eyes as smoke blew through and had moved her back a few feet, her heels grinding against the concrete causing sparks to form. Scathach had witnessed the end to a Noble Phantasm, the one responsible for using it now gone from sight but she knew who it was for he wore armor and adorned that of a silver arm. She watched as the fight unfolded but she did not interfere… This wasn’t her battle and yet… The swelling feeling of guilt resided inside of her stomach as she saw the one known as the King of Heroes lying in rubble and cut in two and yet he held on despite his suffering.    Scathach was hasty in her approach, quick to scoop the Archer servant into her arms. His breathes shaky as he took in the sight of his body being cut in two, the blood that caked over him and what he would cough up in hoarse fits. He was a pitiful sight but she tried to use her magic to heal him. One spell after the other but nothing worked, she could still see that he was dying and there was nothing she could do to prevent it.               JUST END IT.    His shout pierced her ear drums but even his loud words weren’t enough to get a quick response out of her. The God of War unable to find the words to express how she felt. He may have been a pain in her side but he was still an ally and one she could consider friend. It was not an easy sight to once again witness the loss of someone she cared for. But most importantly… How was she to tell Rin? The young magus was still off studying her hours away to work left behind by the goddess. She was sure aside from the fading connection, she’d still have questions as to why…    A needle slipped out of her sleeve as she raised his head, the point just an inch away from the flesh of his neck.  ‘ You fought well, Gilgamesh. You’ve nothing more to worry about. I will take care of Rin from this point on. ‘ It was a decree, no a promise to not leave the young girls side no matter what was to happen from this point on. With Gilgamesh no longer alive, it was only right that someone would fill those shoes as a protector ( she was unsure if anyone would be able to fill the shoes of a lover. ) 

                ‘ …You better. I will hurt you other wise, Queen of Heroes. ‘    His final words were met with a hoarse chuckle as the needle had been injected into his skin, instantly killing him and putting him out of his misery. With his body slowly turning into nothing, she laid him down on the ground and closed his eyes so that way he may rest before standing on her own two legs and walking off. There was nothing more to be said but she could already determine how things were going to go when it was time to tell Rin the news.   So Long King of Heroes… You’ve displayed your honor as a warrior and fought well… May you rest in pieces, friend. May one day our paths cross once again.

Very few times of the day were usually quiet. So many servants under one roof and things were bound to get loud; former enemies and all. But early mornings when the sun had just barely begun to shine, they were generally like a calm before the storm of bickering for a bathroom or who had control over the kitchen. Although he lived for fighting, the mad dash to use the shower before the other’s used all the hot water was not the glorious battle Cu had pictured. At all. As a result, he often found himself rolling out of bed earlier to avoid the worst of it. Well, usually. A certain golden servant was in there already, using all of the precious hot water that was so absent in his time resulting in him pounding on the door. 

“Hurry up! You don’t even have long hair!”

you found me when things were broken when i was broken betrayed, abandoned not a shard of confidence was left but you restored them with your hands with your smile, with your warmth my pride was swallowed when i asked lend me your strength and you said yes.

i lost you i lost you you were gone & i’m left here clutching at broken pieces of gemstones of what used to be and what could’ve been and leftover promises i could not fulfill why didn’t i hold onto you ? i repeated to myself as i fell to my knees you were gone this is not a sacred love if only i told you how i feel.

you’re not my king i remember the glare i shot you the moment i laid my eyes on you those crimson hues of yours glared back at me and i swore to myself to never yield not to someone like you i didn’t know what happened after that nights after nights i spent resenting your presence until your warmth became what i crave until my eyes no longer reflect anything else mouth to your ears heart in your grasp words only for you to hear i know no other hero i vowed my devotion to the only king.

the scent of blood on your skin the bitter taste of words from your lips i’m just stubborn as stubborn as you but maybe that’s why we’re unable to leave each other’s side i told myself to never forgive you you betrayed me yet now i’m standing before you eye to eye trembling uncontrollably my lips parted, and i asked of you return to where you belong & you did.

you reminded me of an ancient hero so unlike the one i’ve summoned spear that never missed and quirk of lips with fangs so sharp if only you were mine & i was yours then we would have won this war that determination, that pride you deserve someone like me for you are more than just a pawn, a tool you’re a hero and a knight and you died as one.

bright like the sun itself yet i cannot look away i am a mere child in your eyes and perhaps you were right heat of the sun would only burn those who get too close i look up at you and could see the vision of you burning away with the light itself disappearing before i could even touch why is it that i fear losing what i don't even have ?
