These adorable Mother's Day Rose Cupcakes in a pot are a sweet and thoughtful way to show your love and appreciation for your mom. Diane's recipe adds a touch of elegance to a classic cupcake by presenting them in mini flower pots with edible rose petals, making them a perfect Mother's Day treat.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/4 cup milk. 1 egg. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Red food coloring optional. Edible rose petals for decoration. Cupcake liners. Mini flower pots cleaned and lined with parchment paper.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Mix the egg and vanilla extract in well after adding them. Mix the flour and baking powder together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ones slowly, adding milk in between each addition, until a smooth batter forms. You can make it look like a rose by adding a few drops of red food coloring. Put cupcake liners in the small flower pots and fill each one two-thirds of the way to the top with cupcake batter. Bake in an oven that has already been heated for 15 to 18 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle of a cupcake comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool all the way down on a wire rack after taking them out of the pots. Once the cupcakes are cool, decorate each one with edible rose petals to make it look like a beautiful rose. Give these pretty Mother's Day rose cupcakes to your mom in flower pots as a sweet surprise!
