Dean And Cas

Imagine dean pining after cas for years. Imagine how he feels when he looks at cas, wanting to have him by his side but unable to act on that desire because they’re in the throw of it. Something’s always going on in the world, preventing a confession from being said. Imagine dean sitting on the sidelines, looking at cas and seeing someone he can’t have because dean winchester can’t like guys. He has a reputation to uphold, and being queer wouldn’t quite go with the 'macho man'rep. Dean fears the judgement of others, whether or not he admits this. After so many years of John telling what is right and what is wrong, dean can’t imagine acting out of character. Dean is almost 40. Shouldn’t he have had his gay-awakening by now? Dean wants cas, so much, but he believes he can’t have him. Dean sees himself as unworthy and a wreck, and the only thing keeping him together is cas and Sam, but even Sam wasn’t enough at the beginning of season 13.

Idk, I just got major feels all of a sudden. I saw a gif of dean gazing at cas, and all these scenarios popped into my head. I saw dean staring at cas and seeing the man he loves, in a way he’s never loved another man. I saw him chasing after him, wanting to turn 'dean and cas' into 'us'. I can just imagine his heart breaking because he feels that something as normal and pure as romantic love isn’t possible for a hunter. After all, there’s only bloody endings written for him.

Where Dean is biromantic heterosexual. He was never attracted to men, even when he just met Cas in Jimmy’s vessel but as he got to know him, he realized with Castiel the gender of his vessel didn’t matter because he is in love with his very being.
