Being an actor is kind of a full time job. Especially when you depend on every paycheck. Kade’s trying to enjoy the experience, though. If there’s an emergency, he’s screwed...and he’s taking advantage of every last bit of craft services he can get away with. But sometimes it’s even kind of fun. 

Working on those abs (and ogling other gym queers) in his Sailor Moon t-shirt...

Brushing up on comedy (it’s hard!) at the lounge. 

And once in a while taking some time to spend with That Bartender, or rather, Caleb, since they know each other...pretty well now. Bonding over dancing is always a bonus. 

[Note: I couldn’t NOT post this picture. Poor Caleb, assigned an accessory jacket that doesn’t work with his uniform and a random posed prop that wants to go through him. I think I need to disable some things for random >_>]

Keeping an active social media presence is a great way to stay in the public eye. Bonus points for getting a papparazzo in the pic!

Dating’s a little tricky when your house is...not meeting any of the dictionary requirements of a house, much less the legal requirements.

Kade’s trying to be suave -- and he even looks pretty good, he thinks, on his and Caleb’s first date -- but he can’t keep hiding the fact that he’s basically homeless. 

Caleb’s been a little weird too, though. At first Kade thinks it’s him -- has he figured out that he’s homeless? Is the actor thing too much? Is it that he’s trans and he played it cool but now it’s sinking in? But he always seems so enthused when they hang out, yet he’s starting to blow off dates...

Kade usually has a good time anyway, since he’s naturally inclined to laugh it up -- even with museum guards! -- but it’s starting to make him nervous. 

So when Caleb invites him to his house, it seems like a pretty big deal...Then he says they need to have a talk. 

“You’re going to think this is crazy, but I’m a vampire.” 

“Okay.” 

“...that’s it? I mean, a literal vampire, like you’ve seen on TV. I drink blood. I try not to, and I don’t take it from anyone who doesn’t give me permission...I don’t really like it about myself, but --” 

“You know you’re not the first vampire I’ve met here, right? It’s okay. I still like you. Really.” 

“Kind of a lot.” 

Before anything got too steamy with family in the house, they played chess. Chess isn’t hot, right? Okay, it’s kind of hot when someone’s as good at chess as Caleb. 

So he took the time to chat with Caleb’s sis Lilith (while Caleb tried not to die of embarrassment). 

And after dinner, well, they found some alone time. Now to figure out how to deal with the whole house thing.

PS: Caleb, that’s creepy. Do ALL vampires watch their significant others sleep?

sims destiny challenge!

I’ve been having trouble getting myself to post regularly on here, despite playing pretty regularly, but I recently found this Destiny Challenge, courtesy of u/belolie over on reddit. 

It’s very much like the Legacy Challenge, only everything’s made up and the points don’t matter  there are no points, just a challenge BUT the destiny of your sim is planned in advance. I thought at first this might stifle my creativity, but actually I’ve been finding it really easy to work into a story. It’s also easy to keep track of, since the creator made a google doc that tracks and rolls traits for you! 

So! I’m going to be updating mine here. I’ve got a lot to catch up on so I’ll be queuing them, but for now meet: 

Kade Martin, trans man, aspiring actor, and founder of the Martin line! 

His pre-rolled Traits:  Ambitious, Family-oriented, Bro (bro...doesn’t get used much lol) 

His Major Destiny: “Academy Reward”: Reach level 10 of Actor, become a Master Actor, Win a Starlight Accolade and place a tile on Starlight Boulevard

His Minor Destiny: “Just Not Gouda Nuff”: Complete the Grilled Cheese aspiration and die of anger. 

(One of my favorite things about this Destiny Challenge is the way the creator makes puns that are just as bad as anything in the Sims.) 

I’ve never done ANY of those things -- play an actor all the way through, complete or even unlock a grilled cheese aspiration, or kill a sim from anger so LET’S SEE WHAT HAPPENS. 

A note in advance: I don’t use a lot of poses for my storytelling, so some of these are just awkward af photos. We’ll see if I can avoid succumbing to downloading a million poses. I DO use a lot of CC, including lots, so please ask if you want to know where something’s from.

Doing the #PermaDeadstiny Challenge. Aim is to finish the Vanilla story and TDB and HoW and hopefully Taken King and RoI but taking it slow at first.

Also, plan on doing some challenges in Destiny. Almost like the “Strat Roulette” that CS:GO YouTubers do, but with that Destiny flare. 

So like some matches you’d have to communicate a certain way, as in using your IGN as the only thing you could say... I.e. being a Pokemon. So the only thing I would be allowed to say is “Lady” or “Perun”. 

Then there’s weapon/super/subclass challenges, where you would only be able to use certain weapons, have your super a specific way, or be on a particular subclass with rules. 

And of course, the HUD options being turned off. 

I’m just wanting to kinda do something that I can record and actually be able to edit. It’d be kinda fun, honestly, and might be able to get more than like 3 people in my fireteam :o

No Land Beyond challenge: *So amongst my gaming in skirmish I was messaged by an opposing player challenging me to use no land beyond (while he was as well) which gave me the idea to challenge myself to only use this weapon in certain matches. It’s been an interesting couple days I must admit lol* Long story short that is how this idea came to be. For the last few days I’ve been gathering video of matches where I only use no land beyond for my primary.

What I was wondering is if other guardians are up for a fun challenge of using this odd weapon, only this weapon, in crucible matches. Submit videos of your favorite kills and I’ll post them. First place (voted favorite kills), will get a choice of getting walked through VOG, Crota, or 28-35 Prison of elders. Second a choice between Crota or VOG And third will get a run through VOG

(Wish I had better rewards like shaders or emblems but sadly I don’t have access to those codes)
