#Eagles DT Aziz Shittu looked quick and strong in OTAs on Tuesday after rehabbing a knee injury over the past year.

When the Eagles stepped on the field last Tuesday it was another step for third-year defensive end Aziz Shittu. Shittu spent all of last season rehabbing a knee injury that he suffered during non-contact drills.

Herniated disk surgery could lead to #Eagles Timmy Jernigan potentially missing a quarter of the regular season.

The Eagles defensive line was dealt a heavy blow when a report emerged that tackle Timmy Jernigan will be out four to six months following surgery on a herniated disk.

Eagles’ starting DT Timmy Jernigan underwent surgery on a herniated disc in his back last week and is expected to be out four-to-six months, league sources tell @FieldYates and me.

Fletcher Cox has been the #Eagles one constant through the years at defensive tackle, but the front line remains stout.

The Eagles run defense was the best in the National Football League during their 2017 Super Bowl championship season. There are plenty of moving parts that contributed to a team that surrendered just 79.2 yards on the ground per game and allowed the opposition to pick up just 62 first downs via the run.

Eagles sign Tim Jernigan to four-year contract extension

The move will pair Jernigan with Fletcher Cox through 2020

The dynamic duo of Fletcher Cox and Tim Jernigan are going to be side-by-side for the next few years after the Eagles and Jernigan agreed to a four-year contract extension that will run through 2021.

Jernigan’s contract is worth $48 million, with $26 million guaranteed. He was scheduled to be a free agent following the season.
