           lene wasn’t given the opportunity to converse with many dancers here in askr, mostly due to the fact that the summoner insisted that “ dancers could not inspire one another on the battlefield, ” but she could not help but wish to believe that that could not be the case with the mature woman before her. her dances must be so different than her own! the whole look she gave communicated a completely different vibe than anything she had ever seen. how could she not be inspired by a dance of hers? 

        ❝ what kind of dances do you do ? i don’t imagine your dances allow the same movement mine require considering our clothes... ❞

          ❛ gaius, should I even ask what happened here ?? ❜ how the makeshift barracks / tent had gotten into such a state, robin couldn’t have known. he’d reached a point in his career as the shepherds’ co-tactician in which he’d given up on the members of chrom’s milita ( new and old ) acting like a normal military unit.

     “...” There’s a silence from the dread fighter as he watches the saint, head tilting slightly before he stands from the spot he sat. And slowly he makes his way over to the girl, fingers fumbling to pull out his journal. Every since joining the army, he’s found himself writing a lot more. Taking more notes regarding the people here. They cared more than the unit he came he initially came from, and part Seryn doesn’t exactly know why that is. Perhaps that’s why he wants to ask the saint a few questions.

     “Hey,” He mumbles under his breath, fingers touching gently at the girl’s shoulder as he holds his book open to a detailed page that matches her, “You’re... Aelia, right? Do you mind if... I asked you something?”

               “gaius. i would suggest you leave that alone.” frederick didn’t even need to turn his head to know the candy assassin himself is fussing around in the armory, probably up to no good. his spear needed sharpening, and chrom’s practice sword needed a cleaning, and he was working on adjusting the grip on an ax for lissa that would fit better in her small hands.

               anyone sneaking around a room full of weapons was asking for trouble. he turned around, pressing his spear into the ground in front of him and raising both eyebrows. “do you have an explanation for this behavior? or do you come in often to steal rusty blades.”

✦ —— how did he even get here?

          the tactician pulls up his hood, absolutely bemused by the events unfolding before him. he had been holed up in his tent only to be told to go somewhere with the cavalier, and he figured it must be something important if he was going to him, but...

          well, the fact they were in a tavern drinking was definitely an indication that this wasn't some pressing matter. he pinches his nose briefly, shaking his head as he sits there alongside his companion.

        ❝ ...did you want something from me ? ❞

          he figures he might as well ask, half thinking the other is trying to loosen his lips with alcohol so that he might be able to get some information out of him, but on the other hand he wasn't quite so sure if he should be suspecting sain of all people to be that cunning. he takes a sip of the liquor ( might as well, he supposes, if he's gonna be here anyway ) and adds:

        ❝ i'm a silent drunk if you're wondering. so i've been told. ❞
