No sense in trying to write an introduction to this. All I ask is that you please try to read the whole thing before you jump to my ask box and start calling me names and hating on me.
*Disclaimer*
This post will cover some of the controversial topics that I feel need to be covered. After speaking to many people about the topics, I have formed my own educated opinion. While I will try my hardest to see these topics from a reasonable point of view, they will have my opinion in them. You will not change my opinion, especially if you try to force yours down my throat. If you do not want to feel like I'm forcing mine down your throat, DO NOT READ THIS POST.

Let's begin.
Feminism - I am not a modern-day feminist. I refuse to take part in the current vision of what some think can obtain the title of "feminism." Feminists nowadays, the real feminists, have a reason to be angry, and that reason is that "feminism" is losing its credibility. This is not anyone's fault except the current version of a feminist. The current version is an extremist. The current version is a sexist. The current version is single-handedly ruining the progress that has been made in feminism in the past. You're protesting the news because of the way you treat women, the government because they're not helping you, your friends because they think you're crazy, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air because they have a sexist episode, Oprah because she said "fireman" one time instead of "fireperson," and your dog because it ran to your brother when he came home from school and not you. Sexist. They're all sexist. Right? Wrong. While I agree with the first two, the rest are reasons I have legitimately heard people that consider themselves "feminists" say. These are the types of things that make a group of people lose credibility. There is plenty to be proud of as a feminist. Obviously it's going back a bit of time, but women have gained the right to vote by being rational. Women have gained the ability to get a high-paying job by being intelligent. Women have lost the title of being the "housewife." Women are being rational and getting what they deserve. Women are taking control. However, being a feminist is about getting what you deserve, not what you want. It is irrational for women to say that they deserve more jobs than men. That is not equality. That is not feminism. It is irrational for women to think that there should be no stay-at-home moms. These are not rational thoughts. Not to mention, all these thoughts do is lead to someone thinking you're crazy, pointing to what's wrong with your argument, and trying to get as many people to their opinion of your group as possible. I understand there are statistics showing certain things, but the problem with statistics is that they don't take into consideration the people that do certain things by choice. For example, in 2011, there were 5 million stay-at-home moms. This does not mean that 5 million mothers were forced to stay at home. However, this is a stat that I have seen twisted that way because there's no proof of how many of those mothers choose to stay at home. Modern feminism is taking a turn, a quick turn, and it's for the worst. My advice, take a step back before you argue something from a feminist standpoint, replace all of the times that you refer to women with men, and ask yourself if you would be offended if a man asked for that for them. I am a feminist, but I am not a present-day feminist.
Sexism/Racism - I will not deny that there is a problem in the United States. Obviously there is still a huge issue with both sexism and racism. I also understand that they are two completely different issues that take totally different approaches to achieving equality. However, I have one MAJOR issue with both of them. If you are sexist or racist, you do not see everyone as equal. This means, to me, that if at ANY point you make a comment referring to someone else as being "less of a human" or as "lesser in society as you," then you are a racist or a sexist. Let me give an example. (I understand I will get shit for this example and will be called a racist because of the way I am portraying it, but it will just help to prove the point.) If an African American male were to be called a racial slur by a Caucasian male, he is seen as a racist. However, if the African American male is then referred to as the same racial slur by anyone else and does not react the same way as when he was called it by the Caucasian male, then he, himself, is a racist. The African American male is now seeing the Caucasian male as not equal because he cannot say it, yet another race can. If a woman is offended by a man calling her "girl," but when she goes around her friends and is greeted by "what's up girl," and does not react the same way she did to the man, she is a sexist. She does not see men and women as equal. One is seen as better because they can get away with a slur that the other cannot. Everyone should be equal. There should be no "slurs." It's called respect. If you give respect, you will get it. You don't see the "good people" in the public eye being called sexist and racist because they are respectful.
P.S. The argument over "nigga" being less offensive than "nigger" is stupid. Don't use them, it's a pretty simple concept.
Also, I don't get why people are fighting for everything to be "gender neutral," yet we can still identify a group fighting for "equality" by feminism. Why don't we call it equality? Wouldn't that solve the argument from men being "I am a man, so I can't be a feminist?"
Ferguson - Here we go. After seeing the evidence myself, getting it presented to me from both sides (people who thought Darren Wilson should be indicted as well as people who thought he should not have been), and asking very basic questions to people informed and not about what they would have done, I have come to the conclusion that I agree with the court's decision. Here are the main points why: 1) knowing people going through current police training, I have been informed that a police officer is not taught to subdue a "criminal at large," they are told to put two in the chest, one in the head. 2) If I was in the same situation, whether I'm a cop or not, if someone were to reach for my gun and I already knew they threatened the life of another person, I am going to defend myself. 3) After speaking with a couple that had no prior knowledge of the case, chose not to listen or watch, and had no clue what had happened, I asked them (based on the evidence that was absolutely proven to be solid) what they would have done, and they agreed that they would have done the same thing. That was just about the last thing I needed to hear to be sure that this was, and is, how I felt/feel.
The News - The news is the worst. The news is biased. The news is inconsistent. The news is exactly what I want to do with my life. However, my dream is to start my own news station. I would like to have a news station without bias. Obviously this is something every journalist wants to see and achieve, but with technology being what it is, I think it is possible now more than ever. I would need to buy my own station so there would be no superpower ownership and I would not have to slant my news to appeal to my owner. The idea would be 24 hours of unbiased news. Shows that have no party affiliation (guests would come on to answer question and would not have a name or party affiliation under their name so the audience could not simply disagree with the person the second they see their party), debate shows which will be properly mediated (each person would get their time to speak without interruption, time for rebuttal, and so on until the question asked was given to each person enough times to get their point across. The key would be no interruption.), and much like local news, a show that would cover the facts of what was happening in the world (this would come in handy during crisis periods or breaking news periods. Strictly facts, no speculation, just reporting the news. Reporting accurately is a lot more important than reporting early and wrong.). I would even consider an hour or two during the day, during slow hours, of just puppies and kittens going up and down stairs, playing with balls, playing with children, and doing anything possible to lighten the mood.
The Gym - This is a short one. Anyone who gives a dirty look or laughs at people that are overweight or not very muscular are my least favorite people in the world. Nobody starting lifting when they were already buff. The people that are there sweating their asses off, working hard, and simply putting the effort forth are at least doing it. There are plenty of people sitting on their asses, saying they wish they could do it, or they'll do it tomorrow, that never make it to the gym. Being a smaller kid that's been working hard at the gym for 17 weeks now, it bothers me seeing people look at someone that looks like I did 17 weeks ago and laugh. Give credit where credit is due.
My life has been in shambles, has built itself back up, demolished itself, and reconstructed itself again many times since the last time I wrote something big. The only thing about writing on this website is that you can no longer have an opinion unless 1,000 people immediately follow your opinion, or unless you're Tumblr famous. I have lost faith in most of humanity because of the lack of the ability to form their own opinions based on facts and not based on someone else's opinion or without being first educated on the topic. Many people need to learn.
However, there are a select few on this site that I follow, or that I see posts from, that have really impressed me, leaving some hope for humanity in my body, mind and soul.
I hope you all enjoyed the crap I managed to throw together over and over again in the past few weeks. It's scattered, and I tried to organize as much as possible, but it's impossible with the way I think. I hope you all take the time to really keep an open mind reading this before you attack me.
