wait i didn't know you have visual snow syndrome waow... what's it like to have it? :o

it’s kind of hard to describe! mine really does not affect my day to day life that much. it’s also much better with up close objects, it’s just like kind of a fun fact about myself. sometimes it’ll make my anxiety worse and aid a panic attack into happen because everything is moving around me but it won’t ever really cause it.

the Reddit lamp story gives me the heebie jeebies because kind of everyone in my life looks like the lamp and I keep convincing myself that I am the guy from the story even though it’s not real. the static gets way worse in the dark however so whenever I wake up in the night to get a snack or go to the bathroom im fumbling blindly. I keep a light on in my room for this reason because sleeping in static is very scary. I played around with a visual snow simulator and this is generally how I see!

it’s definitely worse than this im also nearsighted which probably explains the static gets worse the farther away it is. but my life is like super normal, it really doesn’t change that much besides it makes the dark more scary.
