When of if I started shipping it: It actually took me a very long time to consider the idea of it as a ship. Doflamingo has a lot of canon and it took me a while before memorizing everything and getting a solid grasp on his personality. I wasn’t able to focus on everything at the same time and his relationship with his family is one of the thing I disregarded the most at first. I think it took me 3 months after making the blog to talk about Vergo for the very first time and I’m ashamed of this. It should have never happened considering how important Vergo is to Doflamingo.
My thoughts: Shipping Doflamingo with anyone is near impossible and this ship is among the very rare ones that MIGHT actually work. Vergo is the closest person to Doflamingo, and Doflamingo has an absolute trust in him. I hate it how we don’t have any canon when it comes to their teenage years because that’s definitely when they grew so close to each other, and even though I have my own headcanons, I’d love to have more basis for them. Neither of them are the romantic type so their relationship would certainly not be based on this but I can see a very strong companionship between the two, a lot of sex too considering Doflamingo’s hypersexuality. Vergo counterbalances Doflamingo’s personality quite well without clashing with it which is probably why they’re close in canon and why I could potentially see them grow even closer.
What makes me happy about them: What I like most about it is that Doflamingohas his own weaknesses and woulnd’t try to hide them as much as he would with anyone else but Vergo. Vergo knows what Doflamingowent through, he’s aware of his PTSD and I do think he’s been there more than once in the past when Doflamingohad panic attacks so Doflamingowould find support in Vergo. Doflamingo would also pretend a lot less than he does in general, because Vergo would see through the act and also because he accepts him as he is.
What makes me sad about them: DO I EVEN NEED TO ANSWER THIS? VERGO WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE?????
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: There’s barely any fanfic of them. I think the “worst” thing I’ve seen was Doflamingobeing too sentimental around Vergo and a bit too willing to personally do small little things for him. I don’t think their relationship work like that at all, Doflamingois still the master and Vergo his right hand man. This wouldn’t change at all, even in their intimacy.
Things I look for in fanfic: Smut. Accurate portrayal of both characters and their relationship.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Doflamingo with Monet because that’s the only other ship I can consider with him. I can’t think of anyone else for Vergo though.
My happily ever after for them: Vergo actually staying alive and Doflamingo not loosing Dressrosa. Just the two of them achieving their ambitions really.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: This one is tricky because I don’t think they would regularly cuddle but I can see it happening on rare occasions. Do we have an official height for Vergo? Vergo is tall, less tall than Doflamingo but still tall and a mountain of muscle. For some reason I can see Vergo being the big spoon slightly more often than Doflamingo.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Killing people and I guess it’s canon that they go shopping together.
DoflaMonet
When of if I started shipping it: Again, this isn’t a ship I had considered at first. I had seen the idea around a few times and never disliked it even though it didn’t really pique my interest until fairly recently. Like with Vergo, it’s when I started getting more interested in the Donquixote family and its members’ place in it that I realised it could be a good idea. The discussions I’ve had on skype with @winterharpy and the few interactions we’ve had ended up making me ship it.
My thoughts: I’m not a 100% sure how it would work since Monet is VERY loyal to Doflamingo and certainly has his trust since there’s no other officer aside Vergo he trusts more and he has given her tasks he wouldn’t have given anyone else. But as far as canon goes, they’re not THAT close. Monet hasn’t been in the family for as long as Vergo has been, she didn’t meet Doflamingo when he was a child or a teenager like most of the other officers and getting close to him in those circumstances would be harder despite the trust he has in her. I still think there’s potential regardless. Same as for DoflaVergo, their relationship wouldn’t be romantic because neither of them are the type but I could potentially see them getting closer to each other.
What makes me happy about them: I like how Doflamingo values her a lot as an officer, and the loyalty he gets in return even though it might be a bit too extreme for my tastes.
What makes me sad about them: WHY DID MONET HAVE TO DIE? CAESAR WHY!
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I’ve never seen a fanfic of them?
Things I look for in fanfic: Actual fanfics?
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Vergo for Doflamingo and no one for Monet.
My happily ever after for them: Monet surviving and the Dressrosa arc not happening. Them keeping up with their plans and actually succeeding.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: If they happened to cuddle which is very unlikely Doflamingo would obviously be the big spoon because of their height and build difference. (Monet, especially in “human form” is tiny next to Doflamingo.)
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Killing people together? Shopping? (Yes same as with Vergo but those are Doflamingo’s favourite pass-times so…)

When of if I started shipping it: I considered it very randomly one day while thinking about both DoflaVergo and DoflaMonet and realising that they could actually work quite well as an OT3.
My thoughts: I like the idea of it a LOT. There’s no one that Doflamingo trusts more than Vergo and Monet, they’re two people he might allow to grow closer to him, and let’s be honest, Doflamingo would love the attention of two people, especially two people he holds in high regards. Plus one man and one woman makes up for some good diversity and more than enough kink potential in the bedroom so Doflamingo would certainly not gonna say no to that. None of them are the romantic type, they all have personalities that mesh well together and the same ambitions so there’s not so much that could go against this ship.
What makes me happy about them: The fact that Doflamingo would be VERY pleased with it and I’m sure Vergo and Monet would find a good arrangement to please Doflamingo!
What makes me sad about them: BOTH VERGO AND MONET ARE DEAD!
