THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO GO WRONG . TERRIBLY WRONG . / a TAUNT line forms at red robin’s lips . TENSE , IN MIND . but the body ? graceful limbs fold silently as the detective perches on the edge of the window . milky , expressionless , lenses scan the darkness past the window before him . hesitation colors his movement as a gloved hand flexes open and closed . NO ONE KNOWS HE’S HERE YET . he could leave and no one would notice anything . but , as much as he hates to admit it , he needs maps on this case . reluctantly resolved , red robin mutters reluctantly to himself , fist tapping against the glass .

as expected , maps seemed to be waiting for this . in the darkness , he can make out the figure of the girl shaking off the blanket that wrapped around her leg as she sprung from bed . SHE REMINDS HIM OF HIMSELF . and it’s a bitter sweet feeling . a gloved finger pressed against lips signals for silence as the window slides open . ❛ MIDNIGHT . ON THE BRIDGE . ❜ he can see in the crease that forms between her brows that map wants answers . but there isn’t time . they’ll talk later . just not here . ❛ COME ALONE . ❜ and with that he’s gone . / @detectivd sent in a meme .
