I never know what to say about myself for these, but here it goes. My name is Raelle and I’m 21 years old (my birthday is in less than two weeks so I might as well just say I’m 22). For as long as I can remember I have been a DC fan and I would like to join this network to make new friends to fangirl with! :) For me, it started with all of the DCAU shows on Cartoon Network back in the late 90′s/early 2000′s. I remember watching Justice League, JLU, both Superman and Batman’s animated series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Teen Titans with my brothers when we were younger. I loved dressing up like Batgirl so my best friend’s mom, who was handy with a sewing machine, made me a cape and cowl to wear (unfortunately, it no longer fits).   I didn’t actually start reading comics until my freshmen year of high school, but when I did, one of the first series I got into was Batman. Shortly after that it was Nightwing and Robin. My favorite DC character would have to be Dick Grayson (I know everyone probably mentions Dick, but how can you not love him!!??), but I also love the rest of the Batfamily, Superman, The Flash(es), pretty much every character that has ever been a Teen Titan... (basically I just love the whole DCU). My favorite thing about DC is the fact that the heroes pretty much all operate in family units. I’m a sucker for that kind of thing.  Ummm, I also like Marvel, Anime, Disney, and other movies and TV shows, but my blog is probably about 75-80% DC these days. Anyways, this network seems cool and I’d love to join and talk with you all!

I’ve been told before that i look like Pamela Isley which is always cool i guess

Being part of a network that focuses solely on dc comics would be an absolute dream to be a part of, mostly so i can rant, cry and possibly scream at other people about my headcanons, fic ideas, au’s and what ever in the hell they’re doing with their tv and cinematic universe (still got chills from the bvs traiLER HOLY COW)

My favourite character without a doubt is Hawkgirl (the Shayera Thal/Hol version) who i first fell in love whilst watching the cartoon network show, Justice League (legit cried when she left but that’s a story for another day) and began reading her most current run in 2013. I absolutely adore the fight and passion she has in everything (especially through her super sad backstory) and the fact that bar Wonder Woman, we very rarely see a female character so completely at ease in not being the traditional view of “feminine” (ie, drinking, swearing, carrying a damn gun, holding a job in a largely male-dominated area, her unapologetic fighting style) and the reincarnation storyline which is unlike any other character in the dc mythos (she was totally a cowgirl like???? ???). Jason Todd, Carol Ferris, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Hal Jordan are v v v v close behind though (could probably go on for just as long ‘bout why i love these freaks too, whoops) 

All in all, i really hope that if i’m accepted i can provide some pretty cool stuff for you guys (i make graphics and gif sometimes which is p cool i hope) as well as meeting other folks who are probably just as lame (amazing) as i am *wink wink*

Hi I’m Dani! I’m super obsessed with DC comics.  Currently my favorite DC characters are Kara Zor-El and Barbara Gordon (her new comic is awesome btw).  DC is super important to me, I used to read them with my grandfather all the time when I was younger.  (Well he used to recount his favorite story arcs and I thought he was ingeniously making them up for the longest time).

I’m very passionate about what DC has put out both on the comic end as well as tv and movie end (I’m super pumped about BvS and SS btw), and I would love to be able to talk about the wonderful and rich comic book history as well as the new modern media interpretations.
