DETECTIVE!Inksans
A dark variant of the out!code Ink!sans [by Comyet]. Exploring stories beyond their scripts and instead to their potential. The intrusive thought in ones mind when you have freshly created a character whispering:
"Give them trauma...!"
General Info:
♱• Aus [The Alternative universes of The original Undertale] are actually not his primary 'Targets' so he does not feel the need to protect them like Ink does. Nor does he particularly want them destroyed, he finds it a waste of potential if it is erased. But otherwise moves on.
♱• Detective may even be the very cause of an Au's script being messed with. So Ink would have to deal with him as any other out!code that messes with what is rightfully written by the creators.
♱• Primary 'Targets' of his choosing would mainly be fellow Out!codes, Ones that never had/have not anymore a universe of their own. Their stories are more unknown and complex due to not being held by a script. Hence his name, he investigates these stories and sees how far it can be pushed to discover more.
Character Design:
♱• The person that wants to know everything about everyone does not want anyone to know anything about them. His taste in clothing reflects that.
♱• He likes compressed clothes, since pressure is the only thing he can feel with his sense of touch. More on that later
♱• The symbol on his hat represents a gun target, a hunter's motif
♱• The shoe's sole presents a deer footprint
♱• No one knows where in his clothes does he keep his guns, he has multiple, but mostly use a long revolver. Sometimes he takes it out of his long skirt, his sleeves, or comically takes it out of his turtle neck
♱• The only color you would see on him is his eyes, or when he blushes. A common one being Pink to show his obsessive-like fixations on his work.
♱• If he tries to wear clothes with color, it would turn pale and monochrome after a week of use
♱• Rarely takes his veil off, as well as his hat. He especially hides his face with it when he is embarrassed.
Old design:
It was very on the spot design not much for thinking just what looks good. Most of the information here is no longer canon and these are:
° What's under all the layers/What's his casual wear?
I have not thought of it, maybe I'll put an update here when I do. But I think it's pretty in brand of him with nobody knowing what he looks like when he isn't 'Professional'
° Does the guns have names?
Nahh but he cares for them the same, often cleaning them, does not talk to them unlike someone
° Does he still want to know his original story?
No, He remembers it
° Can he still read code?
I'm just saying no to everything huh
° Does he hate being compared to ink?
Not really, of course he'd find it rude if someone insisted on calling him Ink. But he doesn't blame people for mistaking him for the other. Over all he doesn't hate the guy, more so find Ink a fair threat to his investigations. Ink would actually be the one that is disturbed by Detective more than anything. He hides his face to not show his emotions as much with his eyes and expression not because of the birth mark like splat
° Does he know about other fandoms through the creators?
Vaguely, he hears them talk, he can't interact. Unless of course I make a ask blog for him...

Powers/Magic:
Summary: Consider him nerfed!
♱• Besides Regeneration and Teleportation, Detective cannot use magic, he cannot even manipulate paint like Ink does. He cannot use gaster blasters, nor bones.
♱• He lacks color, sense of taste, smell and touch, the only thing he can feel is texture. No pain, no temperature.
♱• Detective's primary weapon is his guns. The bullets filled with paint, it's harmless is only designed to restrain someone with the splat of goo. No one knows where he keeps it.
♱• Detective is Soulless, and relies on paint to function like a monster, as Ink does. He cannot truly die, only becoming a husk. Only when the multiverse dies does he truly die.
♱• Doesn't give him much for advantage, he has will, not physical strength.
Didot Square:

Detective's 'doodle sphere'. Didot[Dee-doe/Dye-doe], an old french font, and Square because... I often say 'Sphere' ... But it's apparently 'Spear' ...? Anyways it's funny
♱• The Didot Square is not a white anti void, but black. Not because it's the void, but because of thick black ink covering every surface.
♱• One cannot use magic when they are inside. If they stay there long enough their magic will be lost completely, along with their senses, and color palette. It's like the place sucks it out for itself.
♱• These paints are highly unstable in it's purest form, that's what he use as bullets.
♱• The bullets only restrains the 'Targets' either frozen, gum like substance, etc.
Extra:
♱• Birthday: Feb 14
♱• Age: Portrayed to be ins his Late 20s
♱• Height: 5'0 ft, 4'11 without heels
♱• Photographic memory, he knows most of everyone, and everything. Something unknown excites him
♱• Multilingual, that includes many sign languages, braille, and ciphers. He doesn't like language to be a barrier for him.
♱• Games, are a favorite activity of his with his 'Targets' when interrogated. From simple Rock paper scissors to Russian roulette. Detective is not necessarily good at it, he simply finds it a good way to 'get to know' his targets.
♱• Ink draws, Detective writes. Stories in his journal, he never found himself consistent or finishing it. No one has seen him actually write though
♱• Detective haves a favorite color.
♱• Baking, he loves to bake sweets. It's stale, dry, and not as flavorful, But always heavily decorated. He doesn't eat it, just stares,, It's very pretty

"Detective is my most questionable variant of Ink. With him, I aim to explore the unique mindset of a cruel author, dumping PTSD worth of trauma on their characters, or the curious player playing the genocide route, An anonymous tumblr Ask spouting insults and specific what if scenarios that will grant a breakdown. He embodies that cruel, persistent, curiosity, that you have.
And just like you, he will grow out of it, like a writer eventually finding violent methods to be overused, overdone. Detective used to be more sadistically impulsive, which will be shown in his past maybe in a comic who knows. In cannon timeline, how he presents himself right now is passive, more polite and pursues more tactical methods of manipulation. Detective is a terrible person, he is aware that he is doing harm but finds it a necessary evil, he very much feels guilt but it's part of the appeal."
