Ryuu carried a huge batch of chocolate-covered, custard-filled sata andagi for everyone to share after he was done cooking the taco rice, rafute and Okinawan soba as part of the feast. Since Iona would still be away for the tour even for the fact that she and Iori were sharing the same birthday, she had left behind a violin composition for him to listen, packaged carefully alongside a keychain with a smiling gray cat face crafted out of enamel, plus a gray rabbit hoodie chosen by Kyoko.
The feast was a sight to behold -- not quite fitting for a king but more than sufficient for a birthday boy. Fortunately, they have Tamaki to devour any food that might’ve gone to waste should he be absent. As expected of Mitsuki and Ryuunosuke -- both of them are fantastic cooks. Yamato, on the other hand, made character-designed food ( much to Iori’s embarrassment ).❝ I am grateful for everything, Tsunashi-san, ❞ Iori said politely, having went around each person to personally express his gratitude. Some commented Iori was being needlessly polite on his birthday -- but it was his default mode. Iori has the keychain his twin sister had delivered him prior to her departure and he had it strapped to his wallet. He would listen to the composition after the party -- but for now, he hoped that the present ( a notebook designed and decorated by himself, along with one of the twin usamimi friends stuffed toy he had gotten ) would reach her in time.
