Takoyaki Trouble || Yui + Ayato
Yui had known it was going to be difficult even before taking this job. Money was tight this month - she'd had to take Mochi to the emergency vet after he'd been bitten by a spider - which in turn meant Yui had to find more work outside of just the cafe. She'd noticed an add in the most recent newpaper for a takoyaki stand's night shift and had applied right away. Thankfully, she'd been able to prove herself a capable chef and had gotten the job.
What Yui hadn't considered was the lack of sleep that would come with it.
She'd have to endure for a month like this, but there was nothing else that could be done. Operating on a daily allowance of four hours of sleep (plus naps she could take in the meantime) was difficult. Thankfully, though, this particular night was devoid of customers. The warm spring air and gentle glow of the takoyaki stands' lanturns was enough to lull her to sleep. In fact, she was already dozing when she suddenly jolted awake. Oh. Someone was staring at her. And he didn't look too pleased about her sudden nap.
"C-Can I help you?" She offered up a brief smile, doing her best to not look as tired as she felt.
