パンクというものは、元々は遊び心の発露だったに違いない、と。ロシアはモスクワより、鮮烈な面白さを振りまくバンドDetietiの新作『В общих чертях』は、彼らの自由に、したいようにした、インディペンデントな音が詰め込まれている。彼ら自身はロシアのレーベルである(No Name)に所属しており、今作も当レーベルよりリリースしている。しかし、ほぼほぼ放し飼い状態というか、インターネットレーベルの興隆期（まだまだ没落したというには早いと思っているのだが）である、今の時代を象徴するライトな所属の仕方で、自由な曲作りをしている模様だ。

あるときから、あるいは当初からか。随分昔からPUNK IS ATTITUDEと言われて来たが、姿勢自体をジャンルの構成要素と評したものも珍しい。他には恐らくヘアメタルかグラムロックくらいしかないんじゃないかな、きっと。完全に余談だけれど、パンクという音楽性は当初は技術の無さや乱雑さを覆い隠す文句だったと思う。

前置きが長くなったけれど、このバンドが作り出す音はパンク及びジャズ・フュージョンを下敷きにしながら、それぞれハードロックやグラインドコアまで触れるような雑多さを折り重ねている。が、楽曲として破綻していない。むしろコミカルで、ユーモアに溢れる。それこそ彼のWes Borlandを擁したBig Dumb Face、コミックバンドのPsychostick、ふざけつつも芸術性や楽曲としての質を磨き続ける点ではフランスのマスロックバンドUltra Zookのような音を聴いたときと同じ感覚がある。コミックバンドで格好いいバンドは、技術的にハイレベルなものを要求されるのが常だ。

そんな彼らは、今並べたどのバンドよりずっと雑多で掴み所がない。散漫過ぎるが、散漫であることをポリシーにしているかのよう。当たり前の進行に対する拒絶、相手の予想を裏切ることに生業としている彼らの音は相応にして聴き応えがある。彼ら、きっとニューメタルだとかミクスチャーロックだとか言われた音楽がきっと好きなんだろうな。例えばBeastie Boys、例えば(Hed)P.E.、例えばInsolence、Nonpoint等々色々在りし日の青春を思い出してくる。彼らも同じ音楽を聴いて育った中年世代なのだろう。

彼らの代表曲ではないかもしれないが、「Madonna la Atomique（マドンナ核爆弾）」とか含め、正直しょーもないというか、オシャレ感と雑さとパンクらしさを醸し出しつつ、ハチャメチャでバカみたいに楽しいよねって思わせてくれる楽曲が10曲並ぶ（Bandcampで買うとボーナストラック、ヴァイナル版ミックス含め全21曲）。音楽ってこういうものなんだなっていう再確認をさせてくれる傑作だ。
