BEST!! SMUT!! YET!! 🗣️

This fic truly reigned in the smut department and I’m obsessed. Each time it got better and better and I fell for it more and more.

I’m also not much of a war fic lover, but I enjoyed the time jumping aspect of this fic enough to be okay with reading war scenes. It’s just not my usual thing, but honestly I stayed for the smutttt.

The ending was beautiful, the slow burn was beautiful, the writing was beautiful

It was such a lovely ride, would recommend. A true 10/10 for snack loving, tv watching, sex god Draco Malfoy :)

No matter how many Dramione stories I read, the shift from 'Granger' to 'Hermione' and from 'Malfoy' to 'Draco' does inexplicable things to my heart. every. fucking. time.

I have too many bookmarked fics. I did the ao3 equivalent of spinning a globe and travelling to wherever your finger lands, which is going back to the very top of your bookmark list and finding literally the first unread fic regardless of content or tags.

Hiii so I came across your post about the fallout where you explained why what people say about it (negative comments) is wrong and misreading it. And it sums up my own feelings so well that I had to come here and tell you that I whole heartedly agree with you. Like its such a brilliant work, the writing is phenomenal compared to other popular fics I've read. Draco and Hermione a have one of the best dynamics here, there's banter, smut (which is also well written), emotional vulnerablitiy (!!!!!), brilliant parts where Hermione ruminates on life and love and the war, and just enough of the war to show it and but without having complex battlefield fights that I wouldn't follow along anyways. The only thing I wish we had was more Hermione / Harry /Ginny /Ron interactions but the whole reason why it's not there is explained and contributes to the story.

I'm just happy to see someone out there loves it as much as me! Hope you are doing great!

omg hiii!! hope you’re doing great too!! it’s really insane that this fic is literally more than a decade old and still being so iconic until now!!

anw i hope you don’t mind me spilling more ramblings but on why other readers find it “overrated” is that i think most readers are used to plot heavy fics and in the fallout there wasn’t much of it. the fic is basically about them volunteering to fight for the war and going to missions. and honestly i get where the hate are coming from, i just hope that those people give this fic a shot bcs it’s really is so well written. like i’ve read sooo many fics about different pairings and honestly the fallout still stand out as the best ones bcs it’s kinda rare that fanfic authors write character driven fics, and when they do, it’s not novel length. the fact that everythursday manage to do that and write it so beautifully is a feat on itself. and also yes, i also wish that there’s more golden trio scenes, but it really adds well to the angst when they were reunited for a few days

like dude, this scene ???? fucking insane. and anws, even though there wasn’t much of golden trio+ginny moments, i still really appreciate that hermione got to to form more relationship w other hogwarts friends. like justin, dean, neville, lavender, and seamus, makes my heart quench to this day!!!
