Responding To Officers Guide
1. No Officer, would you tell me why you stopped me? 2. Am I being detained? 3. Am I free to go? 4. I will not discuss my day. 5. What is your probable cause for detaining me? 6. What is your reasonable suspicion? 7. Suspicion of what? 8. Am I under arrest? 9. Do you have a warrant? 10. What section of law or statute have I broken? 11. I would like to speak with your commanding officer/supervisor. 12. I am fully aware of my Legal Rights that are guaranteed by the Court. Are you asking me to allow you to violate these rights? 13. I will not speak without my lawyer present. 14. I do not consent to a search on my person or on my property without being served a warrant or without proper probable cause clearly communicated. 15. I will only consent to being searched with a commanding officer present. 16. I understand that in this State I can not be required to present ID unless it has been made clear that I am under suspicion of committing a specific crime and that concise suspicion in full has been made clear. 17. Officer you are intimidating me and I will file a report on this. 18. I would like to utilize my right to phone an attorney within a 24 hour period after being arrested/detained. 19. I plea the 5th and reserve my right not speak with law enforcement or associated staff. I will only speak directly to my lawyer and the appropriate Courtroom adjudicator. 20. Under Federal, State, County, and City law I reserve my 1st Amendment Right to continue recording and I do not consent to your manipulation or destruction of my record keeping property during your interaction with me, my property or those within my vicinity.
