genuinely in tears about deux face btw. like I know she's just an animal and genetic abnormalities happen all the time and she's probably not gonna make it very long but she is alive! two weeks! she's alive and there's a video of her mom and other cows licking her and saying hi and she's in the sun and she can lift her head up and she's alive! it's just like. the perfect most poetic little bit of hope in the world right now. she's making it. and people love her. people from all over the country, all over the world, know about her and are holding out hope for her to make it. and she doesn't know me and I'll never see her in person but she matters. and I look at my two-headed calf tattoo and I look at the poem by laura gilpin and I look at deux face and I look at the stars and I'm overwhelmed by the beauty of it. there are twice as many stars as usual.

Ooooh, this one is so fun!! I used to make lists of my favorite words all the time, though I sadly don't think I have them anymore-

I really like (in no particular order, and just off the top of my head :)) Woodland, Lackadaisy, Wanderlust, Ardently- and I can't think of any right now, but any with a Q and an X in the same word, it's very crunchy in my brain. They're besties your honour.

Quotes are definitely a bit harder, I can never seem to hold onto them long enough- however I've got two poems that've always quite stuck with me, even if I can't fully explain why. I'm not sure if these count as quotes, haha TwT Either way, And Still We Sleep from Dead Poet's Society, and The Two-Headed Calf by Laura Gilpin.

I originally did a report on the first poem, and I connected with it a lot over the course of studying it. I was introduced to The Dead Poet's society by one of my English teachers, but we never finished it. It's kept a special place in my heart, and I keep intending to finish it, but the universe is currently against me watching it, I swear lmao-

For the second, Deux Face has always just been so, so incredibly interesting to me, and it strikes a certain place in my heart. I don't quite have the words to explain it, but I wish I could transfer the emotion I feel when I think about her, ksjdndvksjdnvk.

Deux Face update 3/11. She is still making positive progress getting a little stronger every day. Here is a video of her holding her head up, something she wasn't able to do a week ago. Her legs are getting stronger too and we are hopeful she will be standing on her own before we know it. Thanks for all the continued thoughts and prayers.
