It wasn’t the sort of place Devin really liked, not with the issues Lissa had, but where else could they go? He had heard of this place through the proverbial grapevine, that it was safe, but he hadn’t really believed it until they had crossed the threshold of the property. 

Lissa had already ran off with some red haired girl, leaving Devin to his own thoughts. And those thoughts just happened to land on the cute blonde at the other end of the bar. 

“I’d uh, offer to buy you a drink but I was told there’s no real charges here, so can I offer you some company?”

Devin got attached to Lex quicker than he usually does and it instantly made him very protective of him. There was just something about how vulnerable Lex had been that first day that made him want to ensure no one would ever hurt him again. So much so that Devin damn screwed up a security job because he saw someone getting a little rough with Lex and he broke the guy’s jaw.

Personal Headcanon: When he turned 16, he managed to get a fake id in order to get a tattoo on the back of his neck. It was a random symbol he had found in an old book and he had just flat out liked it. What he didn’t know at the time was it was a protective sigil. He found out the hard way what it did when he ended up getting into an accident.

People often ask him what Wes is short for, most assuming it’s Wesley, but the truth is, his name is literally just Wes.

Devin stood in the doorway, a faint smirk on his lips as he watched Lex, amused at just how large the hoodie looked on him. It was endearing, really, adorable even. But that didn’t mean Dev wasn’t going to tease him just a little.

“Did you now? I don’t know, Lex, it looks a little big on you. And it is my favorite hoodie. Not sure I can just let you steal it.”
