Isn't Any Life Right for it's Time?
Following is a transcription of my January 13, 2011 journal margin note to my 9/16/2008 journal entry at the top of the page:
"Wow, 9/16/2008 was a different world. It was, is, 4 or 5 lifetimes away. Life which was on track, now, is not. Or, is it? What life is right? Isn't any life right for its time?
Note 7/12/2025:
In September 2008, my gay partner Jim was alive and seemed to be doing fine. We had been together as a couple for 11 years. Our life seemed stable and our commitment to each other strong. But, In November 2009, Jim died suddenly of an illness. And, life became somewhat chaotic for me by the time I wrote the above margin note in January 2011. What I like about the 1/13/20011 entry is that I am aware of the potency and the available agency of that chaotic moment. Or, of any moment. The moment at hand has an inherent and intrinsic rightness to it. It is a gateway to the next life phase. And, I was right about my faith in that moment. I pulled up from that 2011 chaos and passed through some amazing adventures and realizations to arrive one again at a place of greater stability.
