Propaganda Under Cut:

Adam Newman (Twin of Rachel): Adam and Rachel are sent to their grandmother's alone following their parents divorce. Adam and his sister investigate the mystery of the Circle together. Adam manages to convince Rachel to leave this strange and terrifying town with him. Adam and Rachel share a psychic connection. Adam and Rachel manage to escape and suvive together.

Mako (Older Brother of Bolin): After Mako and his brother's parents' died Mako was left orphaned and on the streets so he began to work for the Triple Threat Trial, running numbers, to provide for Bolin and himself. He would later tell Korra that he was doing what he could to protect his little brother. Mako loved his brother and was very protective of him. Mako didn't want to date Korra knowing Bolin's feelings for her and when Korra went on a date with Bolin he feared he would get his feelings hurt. Although, they did fall out over Korra they reconciled hugged and said they loved each other.
