Nex used He/Him pronouns according to friends, not whatever the news keeps saying.

Nex was the victim of a hate crime. Nex's death was because of a hate crime. Nex's death was not an accident, it was a hate crime.

Finding out that Nex was Choctaw means I can’t help seeing the difference in media response between their death and that of Brianna Ghey, the young middle class white trans girl horrifically murdered by her schoolmates last year in the UK.

Because the US and Canadian media actively erases the mass deaths of indigenous people, especially those of marginalised genders (women and nonbinary people) and especially queer, gender-divergent and two-spirit indigenous folk.

This is such a horrendous fucking crime by both the school and the perpetrators, and a horrendous fucking tragedy for not only Nex, their family and their friends, but all of us. They deserved so much fucking better than this.

Owasso Highschool hasn't done anything so far, that's what I've heard, however,

Principal Tiffani Cooper has her information up on the school directory

I recommend emailing her to ask her to comment as to why her school refused to call ambulances after a student was beaten in the restroom

Didn't mention it yet but this is one of my first ocs- NEX, there were like 11 of them and I couldn't keep up w the amount of characters 😭

The story was so stupid too, I remember she was some demon princess that wanted to rule the world w her team and then she was supposed to betray them or something

A lot of her definitely got recycled into my other works tho (*cough cough*, Taiyō-)

Her hair is her whole personality probably

Dunno, maybe I'll revive her someday but she's definitely not my priority rn
