Well he's not getting tapped for any other projects really; it's sad but Teen Wolf is easily the most quality thing Hoechlin's been a part of since Road to Perdition, lol.

I guess he could just lose interest in the role and decide to pursue other things, but Hoechlin still seems pretty invested in the show and in Derek (not as invested as he is in Stiles BUT ANYWAY)

I just... She's visibly disturbed and she has issues that go WAY beyond this ridiculous 'let's kill everyone to save Bonnie' bs of a storyline! And just the kind of message they're passing... Like, sure, if someone starts to go lose their mind, just lock them in a cell and wait for it to go away. Or just forget about them there. Because, I mean, trying to help someone in that kind of situation is SO freaking out there for whoever's writing this show.

I'm so mad. I just wish she still had super vampire powers so she could rip them all apart limb by limb. Then we'd see who's 'crazy pants', because I'm sure Damon can come up with a much better nickname when being killed by the girl he didn't give a damn about.

It's just like when Elena turned off her humanity and they wanted to torture it back into her. Only worse because Amara has been asleep for 2000 years and doesn't have the slightest idea about what the hell is going on around her...

It's just gross.

Mikaelson is especially ridiculous imho. I think the entire thing is especially ridiculous and tbh also insulting when you consider that Marcel was LITERALLY A SLAVE JESUS FREAKING CHRIST

I actually can't with the Mikaelson because there's no good reason ANY of them would use the name. Mikael was abusive towards all of them, Mikael put a sword through their hearts 'and he wasn't gentle about it' and then they were under the impression he was chasing them and trying to kill them for a thousand years. Considering how stubborn and good at holding grudges they all are, there's really no good reason for them to want to remind anyone of who their father is. Because that's what 'Mikaelson' mean. 'Son of Mikael'. Also, Rebekah wouldn't use it historically.

The Marcel thing is complicated... The backdoor pilot tried to paint this idea that he had been the one to make the town into what it is now but the show is saying just that he created this supernatural scheme and not the whole town... Nothing will change my mind about how extremely convenient it was that Mikael went there and killed loads of vamps and Marcel somehow ended up alive. Nope. There's something wrong with that scenario.

OK, needed someone who might add their thoughts on that because it's driving me nuts. HOW THE HECK COME that Klaus suddenly emphasised and saw himself in Marcel, when with everyone else -people whom he treated like his father treated him, and people who were treated like that- that never happened? How the heck do the writers even justify this shit? And for me this isn't even about Marcel or Klaus as characters, but just about the shitty writing. H ELP ME UNDERSTAND THE THING THIS IS PAINFUL PLS

Because

1) They are writing the show based on fanon (lol at Originals using the name Mikaelson with every freaking person) and it’s a BIG point in fanon that poor little Klausy-kins was abused by Mikael because he was a bastard. When what the show has shown us is Mikael being tough on them because he wanted them to survive/be more powerful than the werewolves, and they only found out that Klaus was a bastard after he was turned and killed someone, activating the werewolf gene.

2) They are desperately trying to make the viewers root for Klaus and feel sorry for him. When his own family keeps on saying that he’s a terrible person and we keep on being shown that he’s a terrible person, the way to get the audiences on Klaus’ side is to give him a sob story that will miraculously justify every terrible deed he’s been performing. So ignore a thousand years of killing, don’t mention the fact that Mikael chased him cause he killed Esther, and keep on pushing that he’s the way he is cause he was abused and his siblings didn’t do anything. (what happened maybe cause they were kids and also afraid of Mikael)

They’re just messing up everyone’s characterization for the sake of making them into main characters that the audience is meant to root for… Klaus is being written as a poor baby. Elijah is being written as the noble, good brother. Rebekah… I still can’t grasp how they’re trying to move her. Hayley got a whole personality makeover. And even Marcel is being painted in a far more ‘wicked’ light than he was in the pilot, while Sophie gets pushed to the background no matter that this was supposed to be a witch revolution….

The writing is just currently an absolute mess and all over the place and not at all coherent with what we were shown on TVD. And I’m sad because everyone’s complaining about the baby and/or all over the moon because they are apparently liking it… And I’m on my disappointed little corner because while the characters are acting IC, they don’t match up with what we’ve had so far and the dynamics aren’t focusing on what’s interesting to see for them and I’m pretty much getting the opposite of what I wanted and it’s a shame because well played out power games make my life.

'no matter how cruelly he may have treated you' just raises all sorts of red flags with me. Because if someone treats you 'cruelly' then it matters. It should not be dismissed for the sake of some silly love story... Because Ichabod was telling all about how he and Katrina are meant to be and love through the centuries even though things aren't always good and the line just struck me the wrong way.

Even if it's probably just all about not wanting her to give up on love on a broader sense, I just don't like other possible readings.
