Magenta sighed as she walked up the front steps of the old mansion, as she had done so many times before. It was always the same whenever their ship had to relocate on earth, and she knew the protocol like the back of her hand.

Step one: find a secluded location to park their spaceship (disguised as a castle of course).

Step two: Find the nearest earthling dwelling.

Step three: Meet the earthlings and ensure they were stupid enough not to notice the goings on at the Frankenstein Place.

Most often they were, but on occasion, she had to use her laser gun she kept in her bag to get rid of their problem.

Today, she was visiting the Addams house. The few other neighbors nearby had been easy enough to deal with, she expected no less from this family. But just in case, she had the gun.

Pain sells, and we are looking to set up a temporary exhibit, could I come in and talk to you?”

“Where do you think we go when we, you know- when we die?” 

It’s a question asked with an almost childlike innocence, but with the bearings of someone who’s asked this to herself time and time again. Every single night spent in that stuffy, claustrophobic closet leaves her with more and more questions that never seem to materialize answers, no matter how hard she prays.

“My mama says I’m going to Hell...that all the people that ain’t religious deserve to go to Hell, too. I believe in God but there’s still all that sin in me, you know? She says I’ll never get it out and that’s why I gotta pray every single day, ‘cause maybe he’ll forgive me. Sometimes I think Hell is just a place mama made up just to scare me.”
