Her having dyed hair when he was a kid is so integral to my story because his little baby brain is gonna just see a ginger blur and think there was a point his dad loved him- but it was always his mom in my little universe.

I think it's normal for Dev to feel insecure about his mom's love for him since she was gone for so long, but Evelyn is always there to reassure him. 💛🤍🧡

Evelyn loves and hates July 31; it's always a good reminder of what she missed out on, but she's happy to know Dev is growing up. Her last birthday celebration was when he turned 3. A few months after is when she got the Dimmavorce and lost child custody.

Talked with OOMFIE on Discord, and it's now a thing that Evelyn calls baby Dev her little paralegal or little businessman (like his father). She loves her baby so so much, and briefly after his babble she put her work down and spent time with her baby boy.

The template was originally intended for ships, but I saw it and immediately wanted to turn it into a wholesome family moment.

Dev's art takes inspiration from the mangas and animes he watches/reads. The colors are super saturated and everyone has to have a pointy chin- plus he thinks he looks really cool in those special sunglasses.

Evelyn's art takes inspiration from art I used to see at the children's hospital in my hometown. It's very cute, warm, and welcoming. I wanted to try to think, "If she did this at home, what would she use?" And she'd probably use a really old set of crayons, her fountain pens, and white out :)
