Dude I’ve hit a jackpot! I went to the camera store omw home from school to deliver a roll of Ektar 100 from me birthday, and found smth!

It was a roll of Fujicolor Superia reala! And it wasn’t in the expired bucket (although it is expired) but it was in the fridge! So maybe it’s been in the fridge for a while…so let’s hope it retains all of its properties!

Also, in the expired bucket, there was a bunch of expired fujicolor velvia, and provia 100f…so let’s hope they stay for a while so I can pick one of them up!

I used my thin little phone to take a picture of a huge camera from the 50s. Ironic, huh? These phones are so much easier to use, but I find that the old fashioned camera that Della Reese is holding makes me happy. It's bulky and cumbersome, but it has character. I like them both, but I can put my phone in my pocket so I guess it wins. I still have a Pentax K1000. When I go buy film for it or get film developed, I get some strange looks. It's okay. Being a dinosaur, I get those looks a lot. 🦖 😁

I got some negatives! I just winged it really. Seriously, only thing I had to really figure out is the ratios. That I did to the T. Developed for 6 minutes with gentle inversions, stop bath for 1 minute with constant agitation, and fixer for another 3 minutes agitating every minute for a few inversions. I didn't check the temperature of the chemicals but I let them sit for an hour or so till they got up to room temp. I'm glad something came out!

Next time I'm going to try 120 film. And I'm getting a changing bag thing so I don't have to use the pitch black bathroom.

I developed more film today, and this time I did it completely by myself (my grandfather had helped me the first time). it's still drying, but I can tell that my exposure was alot better for these two rolls. I still need to find a way to scan my film, and I will update (hopefully with some good pictures) soon!

okkkk i’m getting to the point where i finally think i need to invest in some film developing chemicals for color film. right????? or should i pay to have them developed????? but then i need to think about scanning. should i pay to have them scanned? should i scan them myself? then i would need a scanner

lol no wonder i never made any moves on this
