The next era in my digital art “career” was ✨DeviantArt RP Groups✨. As cringey as my old characters were, these were a formative couple of years for my art. These groups inspired me to draw A LOT so it was a time of rapid growth. I look back on these times fondly. I joined several RP groups over several years so I’m splitting them up.
Anyone remember PMDe??? It was the first RP group I joined! I found some awesome artists to follow and made a couple good friends. These are the OG character sheets for these characters (”Team Switchblade” makes me cackle). Team Flashy Flash was a collab with a childhood friend.
If I was in PMDe obviously I had to join Sixfold League. I wasn’t in the tournament, but I made a super cringe NPC. Also look back, the group had some iffy inspiration taken from certain cultural groups that makes me uncomfortable now (although, I don’t claim to know the ethnicity and backgrounds of the creators). Anyways, it was a fun group at the time.
